Product Description The Classic Toaster Oven Broiler allows consumers to choose from several cooking methods: conventional baking, toasting, or broiling. It comes with a slide-out crumb tray, 2-position oven rack baking/broiling pan, automatic shutoff, and a durable non-stick interior. The oven has a roomy .5 cubic foot capacity, large enough to bake a 5-pound chicken or 9-inch pie!
Amazon.com Review Sleekly contemporary with a brushed-chrome exterior and tinted window, this toaster oven has a .5-cubic-foot capacity, large enough to roast a 5-pound chicken or toast six slices of thick bread. It can be used for baking pies, cookies, and casseroles; for broiling fish, steaks, and burgers; and for toasting bagels and English muffins as well as browning gratins and cobblers. Its nonstick interior wipes clean with a cloth and its rack (which fits in two positions) and broiler/baking pan are dishwasher-safe. Though the 1500-watt oven has a large capacity, it measures a compact 18 inches wide (including handles), 9-1/4 inches high, and 13-1/2 inches deep (including dial controls and a handy cord-wrap in the rear). The oven offers baking temperatures from 200 to 500 degrees F. There are three toast settings, with an automatic shutoff and an audible tone when toasting is completed. The toaster oven carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Electrical Problems November 25, 2008 T. Sellers (Washington, DC) Great features, and an overall okay toaster oven. It reheated slices of pizza, toasted bread and bagels, and made its share of baked potatoes over the years -- I've had mine going on 3 years now. After just six months, however I experienced occasional arching of electrical current when switching it between functions. Since then, it mysteriously beeps for no reason when in the "off position", but this has been a good reminder just to unplug it. More recently, I have begun to worry it is some sort of fire hazard. Today, it simply stopped working all together, after almost 3 years of relatively gentle use; I probably used it 1 to 2 times per week on average.
Worked okay for awhile November 19, 2008 E. Foster (Huntington Beach, CA) I bought this item three years ago or so. I never had a problem with it beeping in the middle of the night or smoking like some reviewers have had. It worked pretty well over the period of time that I've had it. Unfortunately the top two heating elements have stopped working which basically makes it useless. I wish I could have gotten a bit more life out of my $90 purchase.
Just barely outlived its warranty October 15, 2008 Robert K. Nickel (San Diego, CA United States) We received this toaster oven for our wedding, and it worked fine until just after our third anniversary, at which point the "toast" button quit working. Guess what? It had a three-year warranty. We called Cuisinart, and they told us we were out of luck. So, what happens now is, you push "toast", it stays on for maybe three or four seconds (just long enough for you to forget that it doesn't work and walk away), and then clicks off. It will repeat this cycle as often as you wish. Since our 15-year-old son is constitutionally incapable of using the "bake" or "broil" functions without forgetting all about his food and scorching it to a cinder, this basically means the "toast" button represented 90% of our usage. If it were a $20 toaster, we'd shrug it off and by a new one, but a $100 appliance is supposed to last.
toaster oven/broiler October 11, 2008 Charles L. Basham So far we are happy with this product. It toast pretty evenly & will turn off when finished toasting. We have only used the broiler one time, will use more during winter,so no opinion on that as yet. The outside top & sides get very hot to the touch when oven is on -.I called the company about this & they advised me to use like a tea towel to cover & it will not burn it.So far so good.
decent toaster oven August 17, 2008 ANNIE (BERKELEY, CA) I have gone through many toaster ovens over the years and have been disgusted that all except this one lasted less than 5 years. I liked the roominess and ease of operation of this toaster oven and it functioned for about 6 years before it finally stopped working correctly. It got to where it just wouldn't turn off unless it was unplugged.
