Amazon.com Review A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough; slicing; chopping; shredding cheese, vegetables, and meat; mincing garlic and parsley; mixing batters; and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Custom food processor comes with a 14-cup work bowl; five basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading; and also features two feed-tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and puréeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. In addition, a custom-contoured spatula, a recipe booklet, and a 30-minute video designed to familiarize the new owner with the care and use of the food processor are included. --Victoria Jenkins

What would I do without my Cuisinart??? December 4, 2008 Kitten Kisser This baby gets a lot of use in my house! I love it! The base is nice and heavy, the motor is pretty quite considering, the saftey lock feature on the bowl & attachements is easy, the blades are beautiful & super sharp, the motor has a stop brake, so when you press stop, it stops on a dime! Quick & easy to clean. I love that I can get attachments for it. I find the instruction booklet is very helpful. It looks very attractive sitting on my countertop. I haven't had a single problem. I have had many cheaper food processors over the years & it just isn't worth it! They all were so noisy I had to scream over them & always ran out of the room if possible, if not possible I put my hands over my ears. The others has smaller bowls & I could only do small amounts at a time. The others always had issues & some were very hard to clean. My only regret is not buying this sooner! I highly recommend!
14 c food processor a good find December 1, 2008 Grandma's House (Maine) I like all the features of this food processor, which I'm still experimenting with, but so far the best for me is the quick make up of pastry and bread dough! Great machine, wish I had it when my kids were growing up!
VERY DISAPPOINTED November 7, 2008 so-so chef 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've had my Cuisinart food processor almost 2 years. A few weeks ago, the center spindle just froze. The motor continued to hum, but the spindle didn't move. I called Cuisinart, hoping to find a local repair shop that could fix it. NOPE!!! You have to ship it back to Cuisinart, with no quaranty that anything can be done. So, my expensive state-of-the-art food processor sits - not working. I was VERY disappointed with Cuisinart. I had heard horror stories of their lack of customer service, but really didn't believe them. Well, I DO NOW!!! So I am now finished with Cuisinart.
Review of cuisanart food processor November 5, 2008 T. Seekins (Fairbanks, AK) This is a good machine, although it is difficult to use on a regular basis. It seems a little backwards from the other food processors I've used, so I continually assemble it wrong and have to re-arrange it. Also, I don't like the fact that it won't start unless the food pressor is in, and not just sitting on top, but it has to make a connection. That means, I have to take stuff out and chop it smaller, which is defeating the point of using this big, heavy duty machine. Other than that, it does a great job.
Love it! October 24, 2008 L. Nordine I love this food processor with one exception - I wish it had speed control instead of just on & off. Otherwise, it is great.
