Wonderful Cake Pan August 10, 2008 Glorym (NYC) Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 9-1/2-Inch Fluted Cake Pan I bought this Cuisinart Cake Pan on May 12, 2008. It has a good weight and makes fabulous streusel cake, coffee cake, etc. They come out of the pan nice and brown and do not stick. Clean-up is simple. I use baking as a form of relaxation and this cake pan makes it easy and a pleasure. HERE IS A HINT ABOUT GREASING HEAVYWEIGHT PANS: I use butter or margarine (stick only) approximately 1/3 - 1/2 of a stick when using one deep pan, divide it if using 2 regular pans and do not have to flour pans. If using a recipe or cake mix let cake cool as long as stated. I do not get cakes that stick when using any of my heavyweight cake pans.
cake sticks, the surface peels, and the pan rusts August 2, 2008 ganka 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first couple of times the pan was nice and the cake came out fine and pretty, but then the surface started to peel, and the cake started to stick to the pan, and it is very hard to get out, which leads to even more scratches, and I was using nylon spatula to get it out. Also, it rusts where the scratches are. I replaced it with Nordicware pan which is cast aluminum, and at least I am not in danger of it rusting. Cakes just pop out of that pan, and I am so happy.
Leaky Bundt Pan is Worthless July 7, 2008 Happy Homemaven (Philadelphia, PA) I was so excited when this pan arrived, but that changed with the very first use. I followed the instructions for hand washing and drying the pan beforehand, but when I poured in the batter, it leaked everywhere! All over my tablecloth and floor - I was livid. Turns out there is a seam in the center connecting the two parts of this cheap pan. If it weren't such a pain to return things to amazon, I would have. As it is, I'm just going to eat the cost and go buy one that doesn't have a leaky seam.
One of the better quality cookwares June 13, 2008 W. HOU Bought one to make cakes with and it works nicely. Good quality, and good price (less than 10)
Finally a cake pan that releases June 11, 2008 James Monroe (WV) I've finally found a cake pan that bakes beautifully and releases without ruining the cake.
