Product Description There are few things that beat a freshly made waffle for breakfast or brunch. Serve it with fruit, ice cream, maple syrup, or sugar. When it's made fresh and served hot, it's truly a delicious treat. Cuisinart reintroduces the Classic Round Waffle Maker so you can enjoy preparing it as well as eating it. Stick Free Plates - Waffles remove easily Easy to clean AV Power Cord wraps under unit for convenient storage Includes Instruction Book and Recipes 3-Year Limited Warranty
Amazon.com Review Cooking Sunday breakfast for one or two becomes a pleasurable task with this compact waffle maker. Red and green lights indicate when to add batter and when the 7-inch round waffle is done. A regulating thermostat and a five-setting control produce waffles perfectly browned to personal preference. With a brushed stainless-steel exterior and sleek design, the waffle maker looks elegant in any kitchen and stores upright in compact spaces. The nonstick round plate is divided into four quarters and wipes clean easily. This classic waffle maker measures 8 by 9-1/2 by 3 inches, and comes with a three-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

Love this little appliance November 29, 2008 Prairie Housewife (South Dakota) A couple years ago I was looking for a traditional style waffle maker. I do not like Belgian waffles (I think they soak up too much syrup and get mushy faster). I found this Cuisinart round waffle maker and received it as a gift for Christmas. I LOVE it!!! Yes, the lid is a smidge "wiggly" but that does not affect the quality of waffle or functioning of the machine. I love the red and green lights and darkness adjuster. Our waffles come out perfect every time, and I don't have to sit there and wonder "is it done?" I have found that 1/3 c. of Betty Croker's recipe (old school Betty Crocker) is the perfect amount to make a full waffle without spilling out the sides, and is generally true for other waffle recipes I've used. We have a small family, and while I think it might be nicer to have a larger waffle maker to feed them faster, this little unit it just right. You could always start making some ahead of time and keep them warm in the oven, otherwise one waffle cooks in approximately the time it takes me to eat one, so you can have a steady flow (some might eat faster--my 16 yr old often has to wait a few minutes). I read in the instructions on how to 'season' the non-stick coating and we have never had a waffle stick. They always come right out. Without quesiton, I would recommend this waffle maker to anyone looking for a traditional style waffle maker (and find the old Betty Crocker circa 1950's waffle recipe and make the richer waffles with sweet milk. They are delicious!). It's easy to use, small to store, sturdier than cheapo plastic versions, and a good price.
No alarm; bad recipes; otherwise fine November 25, 2008 MmmmJoel It could really use an audible alarm to let you know when it's done. It doesn't take long to burn. You have to keep an eye glued to the light. The recipes in the manual are awful. Vegetable oil instead of butter? Please. Otherwise, for the price it's pretty decent. I'm not dissatisfied, but it's not 5 stars.
Does the job November 19, 2008 Jacqueline Smalls The waffle maker makes good waffles but they are thin. It is not a belgium waffle maker but does the job. I would prefer thicker waffles but this is well worth the price.
Returned It - TWICE! November 12, 2008 Herb Roleknotty (WA) Based on positive reviews, I bought this waffle maker. The first thing I noticed was how cheap the adjustable setting slider was. Cheap and plastic. It's so loose, I couldn't even tell which setting it was on. Cooking was inconsistent as a result of this design flaw. After a few weeks, the slider broke. I exchanged it for another of the same model. This new one had the same design flaw. In addition, the new one kept burning waffles. I returned it, too. I will look for a different waffle maker.
Not hot enough October 19, 2008 Charles T. Grayson (Memphis, TN USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This machine doesn't get hot enough to create truly crisp waffles. Using an infrared thermometer, I read the surface temperature to be only about 400 degrees Fahrenheit on the highest setting. My 20 year old Toastmaster reaches almost 600 degrees when I select "dark". These waffles come out much crisper and darker than those from the Cuisinart.
