Product Description For enjoying perfectly fried foods at home, this 1700-watt deep fryer features easy-to-use controls and an adjustable thermostat for selecting the perfect cooking temperature. After setting the thermostat, a "temperature-ready" light indicates when the oil has reached the selected frying temperature. The large-capacity unit holds 3 liters of oil, and its removable scratch-resistant enamel nonstick pot accommodates up to 2-1/5 pounds of fresh food. Not only does the fryer offer simple operation and flexibility, but it also provides several safety features. The units design includes cool-touch handles and a safe-to-touch lid, external basket control to ensure splatter-free frying, a magnetic safety plug, and automatic shut-off with a signal

Nice Gadget October 17, 2008 Thomas J. Wands (Linden, NJ) Good fryer for the money. Heats up in very little time. I made thin sliced fried potatoes just like my favorite Spanish Restaurant makes in Bayonne, NJ. Came out perfect the first time out.
Works great. July 14, 2008 Gale Mangano (Highland Lakes, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great deep fryer for the price. Don't overfill with food or you lose the temp. Over all a pretty good product from a name brand that's been around for quite a while.
I'm happy with it. February 28, 2008 klchapm (Phoenix, AZ) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this for a friend of mine as a wedding gift (she has a family of five and wanted a bigger one). I shopped all over the place and read all kinds of reviews, and eventually came back to this one. For the price, I think if offers the best quality. T-Fal is a very good brand, that I trust. My friend has told me the only thing that bugs her a little about it is that the element could be a bit easier to clean (it is in the pot w/the oil), however she also says that she does like it in there becasue it heats up the oil faster and maintains a steady temperature...it's just a pain to clean afterward (I guess food tends to stick to it pretty badly).
Sturdy Product June 9, 2007 Robert in NY (New York, NY) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I like it. Sturdy, unlike my older, cheaper deep fryer, which had an unstable feel to it. Timer is helpful--prevents leaving it on accidentally. Basket is larger than most, so items like FF can be spread out and fry quicker. Only downside is that this model is a little bulky (its squarer than most), especially if you live in a place with limited storage. And there's no real place in/on the unit to store the detachable cord. But this one looks like it will last a long time, and I'm glad I bought it..
