Product Description Powerful, versatile, and blessed with sleek good looks, this processor packs a lot into a small package. The 3-cup workbowl is convenient for many prep tasks and the exclusive SmartPower Blade auto-reverses to chop or grind at your command. Unlike larger models, this machine takes up very little counterspace, so leave it out to help you with daily meal prep like chopping onions, making garden fresh salsas and more.
Amazon.com Review This little 250-watt workhorse comes in handy when a full-size food processor is unnecessary. The 3-cup work bowl is just right for making pesto or a salad dressing, and two receptacles in the lid have pinholes for one or two oils to stream into the bowl while the processor is blending a perfect emulsion. It's also ideal for chopping and grinding. Pressing the "chop" button deploys the sharp edge of Cuisinart's patented reversible blade to chop onions, herbs, or bread crumbs. Pressing the "grind" button whirls the blade in the other direction so its blunt side can grind nuts, coffee beans, or cheese. Compact at just 9 inches high and lightweight (it has a plastic body), the Mini Prep Plus can be tucked away in a cabinet, and the little spatula accompanying it goes into a drawer. It carries an 18-month warranty against defects. The plastic work bowl and lid are dishwasher-safe, but the stainless-steel blade should be hand washed to protect its edges. --Fred Brack

Does what I need it to September 26, 2008 Dark Helmet (Seattle, WA) Picked this up at Costco for a price that couldn't be beat. I needed a small food processor that wouldn't take up a lot of space, and this one fit the bill. I bought it mainly to chop small batches of veggies, grind spices, and make dip, a task which it accomplishes very well. It is a bit on the loud side, but since I use it mainly on pulse, the noise doesn't bother me. The blade is very sharp and makes short work of the veggies. I rarely have to use it for longer than 10 seconds. I find it easiest to hold the top of the machine with one hand and press the buttons with the other. You can head off the issue with unprocessed chunks by alternating between chop and grind. Chop for a few seconds until it starts to separate, then hit grind for a second to reverse the blade and suck the unprocessed parts back down, then back to chop again.
Awesome Product September 15, 2008 book_seller39 (Louisiana) I LOVE this mini food processor! I bought it to make my own baby food, and it works great. It is much better at making purees than a regular blender - I could never get all the lumps out. This food processor is also great for chopping onions, bell peppers, etc and saves lots of time on chopping when cooking meals. And it's not as loud as a blender or large food processor, so my baby doesn't get upset when I use it.
Food processor September 3, 2008 Old time Marge (California) I love this processor. It's fairly small but easy to store, use and clean. It serves my purpose nicely.
CUISINART MINI PROCESSOR August 30, 2008 Raymond E. Dunn I HAD BROKEN MY LOWER DENTURE. YE GADS! HOW CAN I CONTINUE TO EAT. MY GUARDIAN ANGEL OR MY WIFE, SUGGESTED I PURCHASE A MINI FOOD PROCESSOR. WOW! I'M EATING BETTER THAN I DID WITH MY DENTURES. IT WILL DO PORK CHOPS, ROAST BEEF AND STEAKS TO A PALATABLE AND TASTY FINE MORSEL. I'M DOING FRUITS, VEGETABLES, SALADS, ETC. EATING WITH A SPOON SUITS ME JUST FINE. OH! AND I SAVED $20 TOO! SINCERELY, .........RAY DUNN

This processor has met every criteria I had. Easy to use, easy to clean, and small enough to handle easily. I plan to buy them for my 2 dau-in-laws for Christmas.
