Its adjustable thermostat ranges from 250 to 375 degrees F, and its bright red indicator light signals when the oil has reached the desired temperature so food cooks no longer than necessary. A viewing window lets you track progress without opening the cover, and an included wire basket with an exterior handle means you can prevent spatters by lowering food into hot oil with the lid down.  Disappointing Presto Product Cool Daddy March 15, 2010

I bought this for my husband. He likes to cook fries, fish, pizza bits, etc. He went to use it and was steamed by the lid area when trying to open. Not safe. He was totally disappointed in the product. I bought it because it was Presto. We have two GE fryers and love them. I have a big fry daddy by Presto but it does not have a cover it is an original. It is fine. Any way I would NOT recommend this to anyone to buy.

I have a family of 6 and the size of this works great for us.
We have made fresh french fries...battered fish & veggies. The unit held heat well (I made sure not to over load it) and cooked in time for everyone to get their dinner hot.
The unit is large & with oil stored - it does need to be kept on the counter or in the pantry. The excellent price, cool touch sides and simple, good design makes this one a winner!

Not being a frequesnt fryer (yuk yuk) I wanted a device that was small, designed for safety and easy to clean. The plastic body prevents accidental burns and the hinged lid minimizes hot oil spray. The oil bucket removes for cleaning and the rest can be wiped down with a cloth. The CoolDaddy keeps an accurate temperature. The bucket with basket is about the right size for a small family or cooking for guests. A magneticly attached power cord is another safety feature. It takes up about as much storage space as a 2 quart pot. I would recommend the CoolDaddy Fryer.

I really like this deep fryer, it does the job and is easy to clean. Also, I like the fact that it's not too heavy. I would definitely recommend it to people.

The best fryer ever. I deep fried wings, calamari, fries, shrimps. All came out great. Cleaning very easy, the top and basket come out and you can wash it. Everything stores in side. couldn't ask for more. Shipping with amazon is the best , I love to buy stuff of this site. Will recomend to others.
