Great deep fryer!! June 20, 2008 Steve Dewindt (California) I come from the land of the fries, Belgium! We still make them with fresh sliced patatoes, two times fried, so when we moved to the US it was a big thing finding the right fryer, but we did. Excellent tool for use in the kitchen. Does what it needs to do.
Great Product June 5, 2008 Lynette Di Paolo (Montoursville, PA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is wonderfull. It is large enough for my family of 5, easy to clean and cooks quickly. The only problem I have is the plug falls off the back because it is a magnet. I realize this is for safety but you cannot move it without it falling out.
AWESOME PRODUCT May 28, 2008 RWS (New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the best deep fryer that I had. I have it for over two years now. No problems at all. Yes, cleaning it can be a bit challenging, but this product is worth it!!! I had other deep fryers that could not work as well as this one
Many 'Pros', few 'Cons' April 1, 2008 R. P. Poletti (Hillsboro, OR USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this unit as a Christmas gift for my son, who is a young professional chef. The very powerful elements do an excellent job heating the oil then keeping it at the right temperature as you add food. The lid is cleaver and there is virtually no chance for splatter. But there is so much to say, let me summarize the pros and cons. Pros ---- * Powerful elements heat oil quickly and maintain temperature when cold foods are added. * Basket is broad and deep allowing you to spread out food and ensure everything is submerged. * Sides stay cool, avoiding burns. * Cleaver lid virtually eliminates splatter. * Mechanical/analog controls are less prone to failure than electronic/digital controls * Lid is not hinged or attached and is easily removable to get it out of the way. (This cuts both ways, it can also be a "Con".) * Very stable unit, the non-skid feet do indeed keep the unit from sliding around. * Simple but robust construction. Built to last. * Unit disassembles in seconds and most of the parts, excluding the heating elements and controls, are dishwasher safe. * For safety, the electric cord is attacked magnetically; a quick flip of the cord and power is cut off. Also, there are no deep prongs where food and grease can collect. * Handles on the side also stay cool allowing the unit to me moved (WITH EXTREME CARE!!!) even the oil inside is still hot. Cons ---- * Emptying the oil can be messy as there is no drain. Unit must be tipped and oil poured from a corner. * It does require quite a bit of oil as the heating elements are well off the bottom and the basket is, of course, well off the top of the elements. * Lid is not hinged or attached and is easily removable to and can therefore contaminate surfaces with oil. (This cuts both ways, it can also be a "Pro") Conclusion ---------- This is an excellent unit which I expect will last many years. I recommend it without any reservations.

A little disappointed in this product. The basket is a little shallow. Also, I checked the oil temperature with an analog and digital thermometer and it only heats up to 325F. Its off by 50 degrees at its highest setting and is slow to recover when food is inserted.
