If you are looking for a serviceable, basic toaster oven without a lot of bells and whistles, and without a hefty pricetag, look no further. This model defrosts, reheats, browns, toasts and bakes, all with user-friendly electronic controls. This model cannot be used as a under the cabinet unit.

timer stopped working after 5 months use, never shut off,toast started fire requiring fire extinguisher to put out.
B&D does not respond for refund.
DO NOT BUY.
BOYCOTT THEIR PRODUCTS.

Last night this toaster oven caught on fire. We have had it for maybe 2 years and right from the start I knew the temperature control was off. At medium sometimes it doesn't toast well and other times your toast will be burned black. Well last night the toast caught on fire! The whole thing went up in flames. VERY SCARY! Don't buy this toaster oven. It's not worth it.

The top heating element popped 30 seconds after I first turned it on. When it popped it also ruined my pizza by covering it with a layer of white powder. I will not buy anything that is made by Black & Decker ever again.

This is my 3rd one in 18 years. It is perfect for heating up pizza, making fish, little appetizers. It is nice because it doesn't heat up the whole house when you use it. It I can fit it in the toaster oven, I cook in it.
My mother in law has another brand of toaster oven and it is awful. The B &D one is the only one to get.

This is our second Black and Decker toaster oven in three years. Our first died after two years of steady use. While we thought that two years seemed a short life for such a simple device we like how the B&D worked so we bought another one - thinking that with better care perhaps this next one would last longer.
A little less than a year later we were proven wrong with our second "Classic" B&D toaster ovening dying an ignoble death. First the baking timer broke, then the toasting timer. Yes, I'm just handy enough to try to fix this but I shouldn't have to.
