Lasted a year. June 9, 2008 Mr-Rojo 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Lasted one year. Just threw it away in the dumpster. Pump frequently did not work and I constantly emptied by hand. Huge wast of money. Don't purchase.
works as advertised December 3, 2007 D. George (Raleigh, NC USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had the dehumidifier for one month now and it has worked as advertised, no problems.
Worked Fine at First, then Failed Miserably October 22, 2007 Jacob J. Pinsky (Far Rockaway, NY USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We purchased this unit about 3 months ago from Costco, to replace our Friedrich unit that we had for 18 years that had a fan failure. Since it's almost impossible to get parts for Freidrich dehumidifiers now, we opted to purchase a new unit. The Delonghi unit has very attractive features, especially the built-in pump so that emptying would never be necessary. Other nice features are the digital display, ability to set desire %humidity in 5% increments, the washable air filter, side intake and exhaust vents and the easy roll casters. However...the pump failed after just three months of use in our basement, and resulted in a minor flood - twice. We returned it to Costco, and as they no longer have the model in stock have not yet purchased a replacement. As long as the unit is working, it's great. However, for the pump to fail after three months and soak our flooring is unacceptable. I would not recommend purchasing this item. Instead, consider the Whirlpool or Soleus units instead.

I wish I could give this machine 0 stars. Pump failed after 3 months of use. Delonghi wanted me to drive 60 miles to get it repaired under warrenty. Will never buy a DeLonghi product ever again.
