Product Description
The DeLonghi Ceramic Tower Heater has a 22-inch high Tower Design featuring a flat front grille that resembles a HI-FI sound system with brushed stainless steel knobs. The body oscillates from side to side so it can warm every corner of the room. Just set your desired comfort level with the electronic controls and this intelligent heater will adjust temperature and heat output accordingly. And because the fan speed always stays constant, you can enjoy quiet warmth. A Large LED display means you can read the temperature from far away. Automatically turn the unit on and off for custom periods of up to 8 hours with a built-in timer. An adjustable thermostat lets you easily select and maintain your desired level of comfort. A ceramic heating element provides an intense directional flow of heat with the extra large grille for better circulation. 2 heat flow settings let you regulate the output of warm air. Choose the HIGH setting for 1500 watts or the LOW setting for 825 watts. Alternately, the fan can be operated without heat for summer ventilation. An anti-freeze setting automatically turns the heater "on" when the room temperature drops below 44 degrees Fahrenheit. Safety thermal cut-off is one more way to ensure product safety. If the unit becomes too warm, it automatically turns off. No need to worry about overheating. This unit features a handy remote control so you can change the unit's operation from anywhere in the room.

4 out of 5 stars Nice heater, quiet   February 26, 2008

So far, this heater works well. It's quiet, and the oscillating feature is nice. It has a small footprint, so it doesn't take up too much room in my living area. Only negative is that the heat doesn't carry too far, so you need to be sitting very close in order to feel the warmth.

2 out of 5 stars DeLonghi Review   February 17, 2008

This heater is packaged well (ala looks nice) but it doesn't put out much heat even on the high setting. I do like the "tip" safety feature (and it blends with my decor) so it was not a complete waste of money. I would not use this heater for anything more than heating up a small bathroom as you have to be very close to it to feel any warmth. My larger rooms heat better when I use one of the small space heaters I purchased at a local retailer.

3 out of 5 stars Not what I expected   January 19, 2008

I got smaller and cheaper heaters in the past and they did work more efficiency than this one.

3 out of 5 stars Does an okay job heating up the room   January 17, 2008
Melnorme (Boulder, CO)
This heater does a decent job warming up a small room, but I don't think it is very good heater to sit in front of to warm up if you're coming out of the cold. The air coming out is more warm than hot, and it isn't easy to position in such a way that the heat is hitting you where you want. I like the thermostat control, but it is annoying that I have to reprogram the temperature every time I turn the heater on as it defaults to 75 degrees. It is a very safe heater; there aren't any parts that feel hot to the touch, and there's a cutoff switch on the bottom. If the heater tips over or is picked up, it will automatically shut off. The remote control works fine. Overall this heater is acceptable, I don't feel strongly one way or the other about it.

Got this heater yesterday for our 10' X 20' enclosed back porch area where we watch TV. It's going back to supplier. It has a "bad" hot electric smell resulting in headaches for me. It's not thermostat controlled on low (low is noisy enough, but on high it's much worse), the DVR/TV remote changes the temperature and the timer settings whenever the DVR/TV remote is used & the display light goes off within seconds so it impossible to tell what the heater is doing. The display numbers for the timer are so small that I had to get on my knees in front of it to read the setting. I could write more, but those are enough reasons to stay away from this heater.
