Amazon.com Review
No more worrying about overheating or starting a fire, a ceramic thermal cut-off mechanism shuts the heater down if it's accidentally tipped over or covered with curtains, blankets etc. A dual heat-flow setting makes it easy to regulate. Choose the "hi" setting for 1500 watts or the "lo" setting for 750 watts. And, an adjustable thermostat helps fine-tune temperatures and conserve energy. When winter is over, the fan operates without heat for summer cooling. A built-in handle and wide solid base ensures optimal stability and convenient portability. And, this quiet operator is perfect for any room in the house. An anti-freeze setting automatically turns on the heater when the temperature reaches 44 degrees Fahrenheit. --Brian Olson

2 out of 5 stars I wouldn't buy again   October 12, 2008

This heater is small, that's about all it has going for it.
I don't understand many of the positive reviews.
This heater shuts off every 5 minutes! It is still cold, yet it shuts off!
It can almost make a cold room of 10x10 bearable....almost.
And, it is not really that quiet when operating.
Again, the worst part is that it shuts off every 5 minutes when it is still cold.

My advice would be to stay away from this product and get something else.

5 out of 5 stars Great little heater   October 10, 2008

The Delonghi DFH132 Safeheat is a small heater which can be used as a fan only (heat dial on zero), minimum heat (heat dial = 1) and maximum heat (heat dial = 2). The other dial is the thermostat.
I just got 2 of these heaters and do not foresee needing to play much with the 2 dials. Thus I hope the dials will outlast the heater. In winter time set heat dial = 2. You figure out the comfortable thermostat setting for the specific room and leave it at that setting. The fan noise is of normal intensity.

5 out of 5 stars inexpensive and works well   October 9, 2008

This is a great little heater - just perfect for a small room or office area. You can control the tempurature and fan. It has safety features as well. The only minus - I wish it had an on/off switch.

5 out of 5 stars What a great buy..   October 2, 2008

I hesitated before buying this product because it doesn't look so aesthetically pleasing but that can be overlooked!

Pros: heats.... INSTANTLY! No waiting if your freezing in winter. Small, portable, able to use as a fan for summer or as a heater for winter. GREAT price. It actually doesn't look that bad in person. Fan is pretty quiet.

Cons: I don't understand why there are 6 levels on the knob for Fan. It seems to only have one speed and turns on and off around 3. The fan is not very powerful but I used it today on a very hot and humid day and it was sufficient. The red light on top doesn't ever turn off when it's plugged in.

Conclusion? Can't get a better deal for the price.... overall, very happy with my purchase!

4 out of 5 stars Quiet, But Not Too Powerful   September 28, 2008
pda&gps user (Palo Alto, CA USA)
The title says it all: It is so quiet that you can barely realize it's working. However, it will take a long time to make your room warm.

There are much more powerful heaters on the market. But I love the silence. And, the "not-too-hot" property just fits my needs.

Recommended if you're not living in a cold neighborhood.
