| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Gaggia has revolutionized a classic machine for this year. The Baby D retains the commercial quality parts you have come to expect and adds programmable dosing brew buttons! This machine distinguishes itself by sporting a 3 way solenoid valve, chrome plated brass 58mm brew group, 55 Watt electric pump, and ESE pod ready single portafilter basket
25 years of quality and an added touch of style after 25years of a career at the top, Gaggia Baby renews itself. An added touch of style and the usual class: rounded shapes and unique details, like the stainless steel cup tray and the modern control panel.
Renewed in its design, it continues to fully meet your desire to enjoy in the comfort of your homes a cup of espresso coffee as good as the one you can find in the coffee bars. It is fitted with a chrome brass filter-holder with special spouts. The 'Pennarello' is an ideal milk-frother, gives you excellent cappuccinos, and can be used to heat water for tea and herbal tea

Great August 11, 2008 Paul R. Sweeney (boston) Great maching. Works well consistently. Other reviewer probably didn't have fine enough ground of coffee or adequate tamp. Much better function (though less attractive than my previous FrancisFrancis).
Why can't I make good espresso from this machine? August 25, 2007 Richard J. Elgie Jr. (Irvine, CA) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I freely admit that user error may be my problem here. I owned a Starbucks machine and finally decided to "upgrade". I had bought a machine for my parents and loved that I know longer had to prime the machine before every service. And I didn't have to call the manufacturer every three weeks when it vapor locked for no apparent reason at all. Having said all of that, my parents' machine (which is not this one and was $140) made great espresso. My machine could not seal, was difficult to set up and almost always leaked. As well, the frother is really a bit of a pain in the butt. I returned my unit (I had bought it from Costco). But if anyone has some suggestions on what I might have done better, that would be great. As an aside, do espresso machine manufacturers feel it necessary to make their instructions as difficult to follow as those from Ikea? I mean, really, folks: User experience is not brain surgery.
