Amazon.com Review With a 350-watt motor and a 7-cup bowl, this inexpensive tool puts a family-size food-processor's versatility and ease into a cook's hands at a bargain price. The processor's S-shaped stainless-steel blade kneads bread dough and chops and minces a variety of foods, from nuts to meat to cheese to vegetables and fruits. The reversible stainless-steel disc blade slices and shreds fruits and vegetables, and, with two speeds to choose from and a pulse control, the processor offers classic flexibility for fine work. Beginners will appreciate the control panel's chart, which lists the appropriate blades and speeds for specific tasks. The processor measures 12-1/2 by 8-1/4 by 7 inches and sits on rubber feet to prevent skidding. The bowl, cover, and blades are dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

I'd Label it Negative Stars if I Could August 16, 2008 Tricia Rose (Clintonville, WI) I have an older model of this food processor. Let me tell you, one time after using it a screw in the lid stripped itself out while powered on and ruined the lid. I called the company and was greeted by a horrendously incompetent worker who refused to help me. I told her it was a wedding gift at the beginning of the conversation. At the end of the conversation, when she refused to help me in any way, I told her that I will never buy Hamilton Beach again. "I thought you said it was a gift anyway?" was her response. Mine? "I'm in my twenties. Do you really think this is going to be the last appliance I ever own?" I HAVE NOT bought any of their products since, and if someone doesn't know better and buys when for me, I promptly return it to the store for a different brand. Even if I like the layout or color of the HB better! (By the way--did try again after that, thinking maybe I got a crabby CS rep--the next one was equally as unhelpful and rude!) Hamilton Beach=Two Thumbs WAY Down!

Hamilton Beach Food Processor 70550R -- Love it! December 28, 2007 Moretta at Heart (Arizona) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was given this food processor as a gift, and I truly love it. It makes uniform pieces of everything I have tried in it. The only way it would make mush out of things is if you let it go too long. One great feature is that you can choose to have the chopped food go into a bowl instead of staying in the food processor bowl -- great for cutting up vegies and fruit. The instructions say not to use the machine to crush ice, so I guess Happy Camper did not read the few instructions in the book. This machine is very easy to operate, has some great features (a hole to pour in oil for dressings and several blade options), and is very easy to clean as well. I am buying one for a present for someone else, I love it so much.
Beware of the blade December 20, 2007 Edith (pittsfield, ME USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this foodprocessor recently and have used it only twice with good performance. But when I was washing it before the first use, the blade piece easily sliped and gave me a real deep cut in one of my fingers. The shape of this piece is conic and has nothing to grip to. If you buy this machine, please BEWARE OF THE BLADE.
sloppy less choppy November 13, 2007 Halston Britni Bruce (NYC) This food processor says it's 'air tight' but in fact it is not. When i blend things with a high liquid consistency it has a tendency to spill all over the counter. it's difficult to clean and never processes things fully. i have chunks in whatever i process. it's good for maybe...salad dressing.
