Couldn't live without it August 24, 2010 Don Jr (Rochester, NY USA) We've had this 11 cup unit for two years now and have not experienced any problems. We use it for pizza dough, pureeing, soups, sauces, bread crumbs, pesto, some chopping etc and have never had an issue. Works good for cheese grating too. I never had any high expectations when it comes to chopping or kneading dough with one of these. I realize it's not going to chop uniformly so anything I make that needs to be presented to guests goes to the cutting board. I also never considered kneading anything more than pizza dough with this unit as it's not big enough to do much more. We either knead by hand or more often in our stand mixer, which you can control the speed with.
Not as good as the DL-7 but it works ok August 6, 2010 J. M. Ross 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This model does not work as well as previous models but it does a good job. It comes with two blades which are adequate for most basic jobs. The motor seems to be strong enough for home purposes.
The selection, shipping, and payment was superb and the unit arrived under the timeline.
Horrible Customer Service! Missing Parts! August 3, 2010 A. Schertzer (Boston, MA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was very excited to start using my Cuisinart but to my surprise when I unpacked it, the mixing/chopping blade was missing. I called Cuisinart and the conversation went like this:
Me : "The chopping blade is missing. Can you please replace it?"
Cusinart : "We do not replace missing parts because we make sure everything is in the box"
Me : "But you didn't because it's missing a part."
Cuisinart: "We can waive the shipping costs on a replacement part which costs $33."
Me : "Why would I pay $33 for something that is missing from a new product?"
Cuisinart : "You have to return the item to where you bought it"
Me : "Can I speak with your manager?"
Cuisinart : "I will have them call you back within 24 hours"
So 48 hours later and no call from Cuisinart was enough to make me return this to Amazon for a refund and purchase a Kitchen Aid. From my experience and reading the other comments on here about Cuisinart's Customer Service, I suggest you do not purchase from them.
Pleased with this food processor July 26, 2010 AMarshall (New York) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This food processor is rated the best on the market, according to my research. It was listed at a good price on amazon.com and came with free shipping, so we went with it. So far I have only made strawberry jam with it, but it is extremely efficient at slicing up those strawberries! It seems very high quality and sturdy. I think it will be a great tool for slicing, chopping, or pureeing anything we need!
