| KitchenAid 3-Cup Chef's Chopper:
|
| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This little powerhouse is up for any job, no matter how tough, as long as you don't need large quantities of food processed quickly. When might an appliance such as this prove indispensable? How about for chopping lots of onions, nuts or cheese? Perhaps for making a decadent buttercream frosting, guacamole, salsa or spinach dip? KitchenAid's insistence on fine performance is backed by their total replacement warranty.
Amazon.com Review With a 3-cup work bowl and 240 watts of power, this chopper is ideal for small jobs and for making sauces, frostings, and dressings. The stainless-steel blade's reverse spiral action pulls food down, minimizing scraping and producing uniform chopped meat, nuts, cheese, vegetables, herbs--all the many foods for which the chopper is intended. For adding ingredients while the chopper is running, the lid has two compartments, one for dry items and the other for wet. For precise control, the chopper's electronic pulse pad responds instantaneously. The heavy power base provides stability and is seamless, making cleanup a simple matter of wiping the base and placing all the parts in the dishwasher. The chopper stands just 9-1/2 inches high and has cord storage inside the base. A stiff spatula is included. Should the chopper fail during its first year, KitchenAid's total replacement warranty guarantees delivery of another machine. --Fred Brack

It is a KitchenAid!!!!!! July 21, 2008 Jaw Jab (Looking out at God's Country) Went through two choppers, one TV brand broke after fourth use, Black and Decker broke after second use. I have had a KitchenAid mixer, my mother's which is over 50 years old and it still works as if it is brand new. So I ordered the KitchenAid Chopper, it should have been my first choice. Have a 3/4 acre garden, freeze green peppers, banana peppers, onions, etc and believe me I have really put my chopper to use. What a pleasure, what a great product, what was wrong with me not buying it first!!!! I love it and it just keeps going and going and going. It is a KitchenAid what can I say except EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would be nice if it ran... July 21, 2008 Edsel lover (MN) Just disposed a brand new unit to my gaarbage can after using 3 times in 3 months. Locking mechanism will not drop in far enough to unlock unit so it will start. Not worth the hassle or the cost(shipping) to send back to Kitchen Aid. I thought the safety mechanism was suspect when I bought it bacause it is all plastic. Runs great when you stick a ball point pin into the safety switch. But then you can't get the cannister on when doing this. That's $10/use as I paid $30 at Target on sale. My knife and cutting board are working great though. Buyer beware.
broke July 19, 2008 V. Lowe (San Diego, CA) broke the second time we used it. otherwise, maybe it was a good food processor?
Very Useful July 13, 2008 another consumer I've recently purchased this item. It is classy looking, small enough for the counter and has worked well for tasks I have tried. I feel it was a good buy. Linda
An extra pair of hands in the kitchen June 18, 2008 Kathleen L. Collier (Katy, Texas) First of all, let me state that I am a huge fan of KitchenAid products. I have a KitchenAide range that makes cooking a pleasure instead of a daily chore. That is important to me since I have a full time job. I work in the food manufacturing industry as a Quality Assurance Director. So food preparation is not just part of my daily household duties, it is also the way I make a living. I am always looking for anything that saves me time in the kitchen without compromising the nutritional quality or asthetic value of meals. I prefer fresh vegetables and I like to season them with fresh herbs, onions, peppers, celery, celantro, etc. Chopping them is extremely time consuming. I have a 12 cup KitchenAid food processor, but it is so big, I only use it for large projects, like making carrot-raisin salad for two dozen people. It is too big to keep out on the cabinet or to use for small jobs. My Chef Series Food Chopper is small enough to keep in a corner of my countertop. It is effecient, readily accessible, easy to clean and saves me several hours a week in preparation time. In addition, it is very affordable. It is like having an extra pair of hands in the kitchen. I love it!
