Product Description
B&D Ergo 3-Cup Chopper

Amazon.com Review
This electric food chopper accomplishes a food processor's principal function of chopping and mincing without having to haul out the big machine. It's just 8 inches high and 4-3/4 inches in diameter, and its 3-cup bowl is ample for many chores in a family household and most chores in a one or two-person household. At 150 watts, the motor is powerful enough to chop or mince vegetables, fruits, herbs, cheese, nuts, chocolate, cooked meats, and bread. The power head has a soft grip for easy one-handed use. The rugged, plastic bowl; its slip-resistant base, which doubles as the bowl's lid for storing food; and the stainless-steel blade are all dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

5 out of 5 stars Works great, exactly what I needed   March 10, 2010
N. Vernam (Florida)
I needed a small food chopper and this one really works. I am trying to eat more raw veggies, and decided to make my own hummas. Does a perfect job so far. Is easy to clean and takes up just a small space.

5 out of 5 stars Does what it promises   March 8, 2010
M. Calambro (Ellicott City, MD USA)
This chopper is well made and sturdy. It chops veggies even when they are lower in the container, but I do wish the top and bottom were attachable so when you stored it it wouldn't separate into two pieces. It does a great job of chopping uniformly too!

5 out of 5 stars Best Chopper Ever   March 1, 2010

I love this machine. I have nothing bad to say about it. It is perfect. Compact, efficient, easy to use and clean, solid. This replaced my last one, which I had for years before it sadly broke after taking a nasty fall.

3 out of 5 stars very small   February 28, 2010

I like this chopper, but it's very small. (just for one medium onion)

Regarding cleaning the hole in the top, I prevent anything to be entered into it by following the advice of one of the reviewers: I cut a small piece of plastic wrap and after filling the container, put the wrap on the daisy tab (the top of shaft) and then put the top on it. after I am done, the top is completely dirty but nothing has entered the hole! (I am not sure whether this would work with liquids?)

We have also a Black and Decker juicer and that one has also the same problem: bad design for cleaning! They really need to think about cleaning as well as performance.

5 out of 5 stars Bought in 2002 and still works great!   February 22, 2010

We have used this product for eight years now and never had any issues and it works great! The blade and the bowl are in perfect working condition. It chops things like onions, garlic, and cilantro really well. I can practically load it to the top and it still works like a charm. The two different speeds are a good feature, but usually I just use the highest speed. Clean up is so easy, as I just immerse the blade and the bowl in the sink and let it soak. You can also put the bowl in the dishwasher on the top rack.

Overall, this product is a must in any kitchen as we have used it at least twice a week for eight years straight. When you do not want to get out your bulky food processor, this is your go-to chopper to have.
