5 out of 5 stars Couldn't be more pleased   July 21, 2008
Clarissa Charles
We bought this last week and happily cooked a week's worth of meals with it this weekend. I love how quiet it is! I shredded some onions while my honey was asleep, and not a peep from him. It just purred like a cat.

It is quite powerful, and buzzed right through the vegetables like a champ.

The safety features are absolutely necessary; you could practically fit your entire arm in the chute if it didn't stop when you remove the pusher from the feeder chute. Once you learn how to put it together, it makes sense, and I haven't had any problem with it.

The only thing I would add to it is a small work bowl, like the kind that comes with another one we were looking at. Otherwise, a very good food processor.

1 out of 5 stars Never worked   June 15, 2008

I received this as a wedding gift and was very excited about it. I promptly opened it to make something, but could never get it to work. I've had food processors before, so I know everything has to be locked just so for it to function. I'm sure this one was set up correctly, but it would not operate. Since it has zero user feedback, I couldn't even tell if the unit was getting power (but I tried different outlets that I know work). I'm returning it in favor of a KitchenAid. Between this food processor and the crappy Cuisinart coffeemaker (the grind and brew one) that I just got rid of, I'm done with this brand.

1 out of 5 stars HIDEOUS! Best ad possible for Kitchen Aid!   May 28, 2008

This thing STINKS! It takes forever to get the %^^^%$ thing to work. Unlike normal food processors, it is not a simple matter of clicking everything in place ... everything has to be aligned "just so" (and, if not, the machine freezes for five minutes before you can even try again) - but neither the booklet, box, nor DVD acknowledge this, and swiftly skim over assembly. Yuck! Buy a Kitchen Aid and forget about this huge, expensive doorstop.

Cuisinart food processors used to be awesome, and I never even considered trying another brand until I bought this atrocity. I would NEVER buy Cuisinart again!

5 out of 5 stars Yikes, it's wonderful   April 24, 2008

Yikes, it's wonderful. I mix bread dough in mine all the time. We never buy bread anymore and fresh bread coming out of the oven is usual at my house. It's so easy I've made as many as eight 2 1/2 lb. loaves for large church suppers. People think I'm a marvel, but they don't realize how eazily this product does all the work.

5 out of 5 stars A Must for Serious Cooks   March 5, 2008

I am not an appliance person. I have a few tools in the kitchen and use them all. So, I resisted buying this food processor because it takes up counter space and I wondered if I would use it enough to justify the space taken up and the price.

I should not have waited. I have had this machine for several years and just love it! Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to use. It is lightening fast and does amazing things to food!

For example, the shredder changes the nature of tough veggies that generally need to be cooked for a long time. Use the shredder on hard vegetables like carrots, jicama and broccoli stems (remove tough outer skin). Saute with some olive oil or butter for a few minutes and you have a delicious and quick side dish! Add lemon or saute garlic for variety.
