Product Description In brushed nickel with a lustrous metallic finish, this KitchenAid food processor is a standout in any kitchen. It has a die-cast metal base and comes with an ultra wide mouth feed tube (the industry's largest) that accommodates tomatoes, cucumbers and potatoes with a minimum of sectioning or slicing, saving you time in the initial stages of preparation. A separate section lets you feed smaller items into the work bowl such as single carrots, celery, herbs and nuts. A feed tube pusher is also included. With the Pulse button, you can control the length of cutting or slicing process so those sliced tomatoes don't end up being a sauce instead. The food processor comes with three work bowls: a 12-cup bowl for large jobs, a 10-cup chef's bowl that fits inside the 12-cup work bowl (slice or shred items while keeping the larger work bowl clean for another job) and a 4-cup mini bowl with its own mini blade for smaller jobs like chopping herbs, mincing garlic or making bread crumbs. The food processor comes with a multi-purpose blade, slicing and shredding discs (2- and 4-mm slicing discs and 4-mm shredding disc), a blade for mixing and kneading bread and pizza dough, an egg whip for whipping cream and egg whites for meringues, mousses and souffles, a citrus press for juicing small limes and large grapefruits and an accessory case for storing all of the accessories along with a spatula

The Last Food Processor I Hope To Buy! March 3, 2010 Leah Kershaw (Dover, DE, USA) I already own a KitchenAid mixer, so when it came time to shop for a new food processor, I had pretty much made up my mind to choose a KitchenAid product. This is the second best appliance in my kitchen! It has a lot of great attachments and a convenient storage case for them. The juicer works so well that I can eliminate my Juiceman. I love the look of the brushed nickel. It is an excellent food processor and I am looking forward to using it every day for a long time to come. As always, Amazon had the most amazing price and there was also a $30.00 rebate, making it very affordable. Don't waste your money on anything less than a KitchenAid. If you have the money to buy one, this is a product that you will probably never have to replace.
Go with the Cuisinart Elite January 2, 2010 Y. Rybak (NJ) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We purchased this Food processor after an extensive research, reading reviews on various sites, checking the product manuals and etc.
We had to return it after giving it couple of tries. Did not meet expectations whatsoever. The most disappointing was the fact that you could put only up to 5 (five!) cups of liquid into so called 12 cups food processor. This was NOT disclosed anywhere. This makes it pretty useless for most of the applications. Second biggest disappointment was that it leaked over the center under a stem. Cleaning was a nightmare. When we tried kneading the dough it was a disaster. With 2.5 cups of flour the machine would dance all over the counter. Dough would escape through the center and get under the stem. Try to get it out! We were quite patient and gave it couple of tries but gave up at the end! We returned it and bought a 14 cups Elite Cuisinart Food Processor. It has MOST of the attachments, much better ADJUSTABLE slicing disk, more convenient storage container, does not leak, has a separate dough setting and the same 3 bowls design which was one of the most convincing reasons for purchasing of this one. And - yes - it holds up to 10 cups of liquid in the main bowl and the level is marked on each bowl as well! I would definitely research that one if you are looking. It is just A BIT bigger but SO MUCH better!
Love it!! October 21, 2009 R. Cruitt I searched all over the internet before deciding on this food processor and I was not disappointed. I love it! I've made all kinds of things in it and it does a great job. I really want to try some of the extra gadgets that it comes with too. All in good time... Best part was KitchenAid had a refund going on the same time I bought this, my mixer and my blender. Sweet. Definitely worth it if you're thinking about getting a new processor. You won't be disappointed and I found that Amazon was the cheapest.
Love this food processor! August 29, 2009 Cuccidotti (Seattle, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We recently purchased this KitchenAid food processor and love it! We have two kids under 3 in our house and needed a powerful machine that was QUIET. This one is that and so much more. I can puree baby food while the baby sleeps in the next room with the door open. And purees are so easy with such a powerful machine. Larger cooking & baking jobs are a breeze as well. The 3 bowl sizes offer flexibility and clean up for the entire processor is easy. It took us a while to figure out what had to be locked and in what order to get the machine to work, so do read the instructions. It is a large and heavy unit so it does take quite a bit of counter space, but it looks great and we use it so frequently I don't mind having it out and handy.
Wonderful machine! August 27, 2009 Book Lover (Illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this KitchenAid 770 food processor for a few years and it was my first ever food processor. I honestly don't know how I ever lived without one. It's not just beautiful (if you have stainless steel appliances, this matches perfectly!), it's a workhorse too. The Brushed Aluminum is METAL NOT PLASTIC. (I bought a Cuisinart Coffee on Demand and it's plastic stainless steel "look"...which they never tell you, BTW...though it is very pretty). Just so you know, the KitchenAid 770 IS metal and heavy. I never knew food could be chopped so fast. The first time I used it my first reaction was "HOLY *&%# is this FAST!!"
Last summer I bought a friend a 2 gallon lemonade jar for her vacation home and filled it with homemade lemonade. I used my KitchenAid juicer attachment and had lemons juiced in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do it by hand. The juicer also has 2 different size heads. A large one for oranges and grapefruit and a small one for lemons and limes. How sweet is that?? If you like fresh orange juice, you will love the juicer attachment. I have never used my whisk because I have a KitchenAid stand mixer for that, but I've used everything else and they worked PERFECTLY and FAST! The storage box for the accessories is very nice to have too. It keep everything in its place and ready for use when you are ready to use them.
You just need to make sure the bowl is aligned on the base correctly or it won't turn on. The first time I didn't do it right I freaked out. I don't want anyone else to have a stroke too. :)
If you're thinking about this food processor...buy it! It looks SOOOOOOO nice sitting on the counter and it makes the tedious job of chopping food (I'm no chef...I'm a slow chopper, OK? ;)) so fast and easy. Plus, cleanup is a BREEZE. I wash everything by hand, but I know other people throw their blades and bowls in the dishwasher with no problem. I just toss the parts in a sink of hot soapy water and by the time I get to them, it's a quick swish and I'm done.
Just a warning...it weighs a ton so be prepared for that when it's delivered. I promise, you won't regret this purchase. It's worth every cent.
