5 out of 5 stars Great Food Processor   July 16, 2008

Best food procesor on the market. Large feed tube and bowl when you need it and smaller ones included when you don't. Plenty of power and easy clean up. Nice mix of processor disks included and others available for purchase if needed.

5 out of 5 stars Wow I can't believe I lived this long without one!   July 11, 2008

I have resisted buying a food processor for years as I was afraid of getting needless kitchen gadgets... this gadget is a necessity! The first task it amazed me with was slicing onions for French Onion soup. It reduced 8 large onions into thin slices in less than a minute. I then used it to make a Ravioli Dough (from Gourmet Magazine a couple of issues ago) and it created the most luscious ball of dough the was a joy to knead for 8 minutes by hand. The whole time I worked with the pasta I kept saying, "this is simply the nicest dough ever!" I am now searching cook books and the Internet for another excuse to fire up my Kitchen Aid. Even in a minimalist kitchen, this food processor is an absolute must have!

5 out of 5 stars It's purrrrfect!   July 11, 2008

Couldn't help the title. This thing purrs like a kitten when it's running, so I couldn't resist. I've never owned a food processor before, and bought this one based on other reviews I'd read on amazon. I'm so happy with the choice I've made! I use it all the time, it's quick, quiet, easy to learn to use and clean-up is a snap, since everything is dishwasher safe! I know other folks have written about the safety feature on the lid and issues with liquids, but I've not run across any problems with these features... perhaps because I'm still a newbie at food processing. I couldn't be happier with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone!

5 out of 5 stars Never Fail Kitchenaid   May 25, 2008

I purchased this food processor to replace my 7 cup Kitchenaid food processor, which, by the way, has been great. I needed a larger capacity and wanted the different thickness slicing blades and citrus press. It is wonderful, powerful and versatile. I have many Kitchenaid items in my kitchen and, as always, would recommend this to anyone.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit. There were conflicting reviews from people on the pros and cons of a Cuisanart vs the Kitchen Aid. I am delighted that I picked the Kitchen Aid. The unit does everything it professes to, in such a short amount of time, and is so much fun to use. The whole unit is so easy to clean that it takes no time at all to clean up afterwards. I now look for recipes that I can use my KitchenAid for.
