Works Great March 16, 2010 Mary L. Hill (Los Angeles, CA) I've been using this processor for three months and I love it! My old KitchenAid worked great for 20 years, and I had no complaints. This one is more versital, and more powerful. I really like the three bowls. It is quick and handy to use one bowl after another when I'm making a big salad at the last minute. I would like to compliment Amazon.com too. The first one I ordered arrived in a badly battered box, which was thrown over our gate by the delivery guy. It wouldn't start. I was very pleased at how quickly Amazon sent me a new one.
You garra be careful with it! March 6, 2010 JCS First of all be aware of the following blade: Cuisinart 6-by-6mm Fruit, Vegetable and French Fry Disc, fits 14-Cup Processor, as it doesn;t fit this processor. YES!!! The Cuisinart FP-12DC Elite Collection Processor, 14 cups, die cast, is indeed a very nice and robust looking processor. But, I am not impressed with it. You garra be very careful with it. When you wanna put all the bowls back (after washing them or what-ever), you MUST align them properly, and it is not very clear when you "got it" all in. You just know that something is wrong, but you don't know what. Then, after watching the God-Dam video you realize that it is not as easy as 1, 2, 3. Moreover, it is not very easy to work with those bowls. Again, you garra be careful how.........bla......bla........bla. You get my point? IT IS NOT EASY and INTUITIVE, as I was hopping that it would be. Other than that it does what it suppose to do.
rs37 March 3, 2010 RS37 (TOMS RIVER, NJ, US) The machine works as stated. The three bowl sizes are very useful and the machine has the power to get the job done. The price was very good.
Love my Cuisinart! February 28, 2010 Whitewolf (Indiana) I bought the FP-14DC Elite because my old one was 30 years old and the bowl cracked. Replacing it seemed to cost around $100, so I decided too spring for a new one. I did a lot of research online before deciding on this one and I believe that I have made the right choice. This machine is amazing!
I love the 3 bowls! What a great idea! Really useful, and not difficult to handle. The power of this machine is amazing! So far I have made pizza dough, rye bread, shredded cheese, sliced potatoes, tomatoes and shredded cabbage. I use this machine almost daily and find it easy to use and very efficient. I would buy this again, for sure.
Cuisinart 14 Cup Elite February 27, 2010 Nancy F. Cohen (Boulder, CO) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the third Cuisinart I have purchased. I previously used my food processor several times a week. I now use the new one occasionally. I had such high hopes for it, it sounded great! But I find it very confusing and difficult to use. The pros: it is fast, you don't have to hold the blade in place when emptying the bowl, there is more flexibility in slicing thickness. The negatives: it is too large in the dishwasher and on the counter, the bowls are hard to get out (it is a counter intuitive motion), it is too heavy to move around, there are too many parts to keep changing around. I would not have made the bowls nest, it makes it too tall, and not had two different size main blades that need an extra part to fit some and not other blades. It is just not that user friendly. You really have to watch the DVD more than once, and even then it is way too complicated. Really disappointed in it.
