I am now making home made baby food. I think it works absolutely wonderful! I have made many things, and the consistency is perfect for my 5 month old, and I can continue to make it thinner or thicker!

I bought a food processor from Babies R Us, but the piece that seals got loose and was chopped; also, I had to add water to mush fruits. Then I bought this KidCo food processor. I've had it for a month now, and I'm pleased with it. I can mush fruits and vegetables without adding any liquid, or just little. This food processor is much more powerful than the first one I had. I recommend it to anyone wanting to prepare fresh food for their baby.

I bought this to help me make food for my twin girls because buying food for them was getting too expensive. I can give them more than bananas now. This food mill purees everything such as chicken, ham, veggies of all kinds, and fruit galore. I feel great giving my babies fesh food as opposed to just feeding them from a jar. Using a blender was difficult because it was too large and hard to clean. This food mill is easy to operate and clean. I love it and wish I can find someone to gift it to!!!

2 out of 5 stars Buy a food processor instead   March 12, 2008

I was given this as a gift at my baby shower before my daughter was born. Now 5 months later she just is starting to eat solid foods, so I used it for the first time. First off I agree with the other reviewer, the lid gets stuck easily. Very annoying! Second, the motor turns on as soon as it is plugged in and the only control you have is to 'turbo' speed. 'Turbo' is a nice feature as it helps get all of the food pureed, but I wish the motor didn't turn on until I pressed the button. Having to unplug the unit to turn it off is just annoying especially if you have a baby in your arms.

It was a gift so I'm using it for now, but I really wish I had just a plain old food processor.

4 out of 5 stars This is great!   February 14, 2008

This food mill is fantastic - SUPER easy to use, clean and assemble. So far I've made some parsnips and carrots (cooked) for my 6 month old. I did need to add a quite a bit of water - as the puree was a bit thick/chunky for him. One thing to know - the top/motor part of the mill does not "lock" in, you just place it on top, push down, and the motor starts to run - couldn't be easier to use!
