5 out of 5 stars Best investment ever   January 3, 2008

I bought this thing on a fluke in the mid 1980's. I walked into a Sams Club and saw a stack of these that said "one time buy". It was only $250! Now I wish I had bought them all. Needless to say this thing handles every thing you can throw at it without effort.
It's still running strong after 20 years without any trouble. The Lexan lid is beginning to spider crack but hasn't failed yet. I suspect I'll have to replace it eventually. This is the best made appliance I've ever owned.

I bought this model close to 20 years ago - if the motor is essentially the same, it is a very study addition to your kitchen. I use mine quite a bit. The lexan bowls have been replaced several times - they crack - and are almost as expensive as a cheaper, smaller Cuisinart. But if you want the best home model food processor, this is worth every penny.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Machine   April 6, 2007

I have owned this machine for 20 years and love it. 1 motor repair & 1 new bowl are all the additional $$ I've spent on the machine. I use it daily to process everything from cake batter to bread to grating cheese. It is an indispensable item in my kitchen.

I have owned and used this processor for over 12 years. What a great machine. I won't bore you with the details, but I would recommend this.

5 out of 5 stars workhorse, lasts forever   December 31, 2001

i've had this food processor since they came out about 15 years ago. i love it. i make large quantities of bread dough, quickly. it's a workhorse. i had to have it repaired once because i had left it plugged in during an electrical storm and there was a surge. cuisinart recommends that you don't leave it plugged in when not in use. i didn't have a problem with repair though. besides that, my fault, i've only purchased 1 bowl and one blade in 15 years. i'm tempted to buy this one but mine's working so well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this unit. if you want a large food processor which will last a very long time, this is it.
