Product Description The OXO Good Grips Food Mill is the perfect tool for preparing fresh purees, sauces, soups and more. It has a stainless steel inner bowl to accommodate hot foods and prevent staining and includes 3 stainless steel grinding discs for fine, medium and coarse textures. Use the fine disc for homemade jellies, creamy sauces and baby food, the medium disc for applesauce and vegetable soups and the coarse disc for mashed potatoes and chunkier sauces. The Food Mill has a simple, spring-loaded lever that makes it easy to exchange discs and disassemble for storage. Three non-slip legs hold the Food Mill securely over bowls and pots up to 11 inches in diameter, and fold for easy storage. The soft, non-slip handle and knob make gripping and cranking the Food Mill a comfortable task. All parts are dishwasher-safe. Dimensions - 14.75 x 10.25 x 7.25 inches Weight - 2 pounds

nice food mill for the money August 16, 2008 A. Stonner (Central Missouri, USA) I think this is a good food mill for the money. I looked at a Foley mill and played with it at the store, but just wasn't impressed by how the parts all fit together. Kind of had a grinding feel as the metal grated together rather than a smooth cranking action that the OXO has. The three different grinding plates are very nice. We bought this to make baby food and for making jams and home canning needs. Fits the bill perfectly. Very comfortable to use and would recommend this without reservation. The only reason it didn't get 5 starts is the white plastic coating on the bowl. If that was stainless like the bowl lining, it would be perfect.
what a time saver! August 3, 2008 EP (Athens, Georgia) Got this to assist with the bumper crop of tomatoes from the garden this year. What a time saver!I've put up 40 pounds of tomatoes so far, and could not imagine processing that many tomatoes into tomato sauce by hand. I like the way the legs fold out to fit over a bowl or pan. The capacity is good (particulary at this price point). And it is very easy to clean. I'm looking forward to using this for jam and applesauce as well!
Forget the Blender April 29, 2008 Louis R. Kerr (Cincinnati) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When a recipe says puree this is the kitchen gadget you need. Smoothness without liquidity. A must have for the well equipped kitchen that lives up to the OXO name.
Easy to use and clean April 6, 2008 Julie (Florida) Easy to use because it can be set directly over a bowl; also cleans very easily. I bought to use for making baby food, but I only used for a few weeks because baby was soon ready for thicker and chunkier food that can simply be pureed in the food processor or blender. Not sure it's worth it to purchase if you only plan to use for baby food.

Love it. Works awesome. We bought this for creamy mashed potatos and it really does the trick.
