This Food Processor Attachment is designed for use only with the Bosch Multi Function Kitchen Machine. It has the traditional food processor knife blade in the bottom of the bowl for chopping and mixing. Bowl capacity is 5 cups. Also included are 3 slicing/shredding disks used at the top of the bowl: slicing (reversible thick & thin), shredding & grating (reversible fine & coarse), and potato grating. The processor fits on the high-speed drive of the Multi-Function Kitchen Machine. Dishwasher safe. .

Designed to fit all Bosch stand mixer/kitchen machines whose model numbers begin with MUM 4, this food processor consists of a 5-cup work bowl with a cutting/mixing blade for chopping and mincing all manner of food, including meat, and for mixing liquids like soups and salad dressings. (The food processor has no motor and cannot operate independently of the kitchen machines.) Three stainless-steel disks and a countertop disk holder are included. One disk slices cucumbers, cabbage, potatoes, and other vegetables. Another shreds carrots, celery, radishes, and other food. The third grates cheese, chocolate, nuts, and potatoes. The disks fit onto the holder horizontally for handy storage. The bowl is made of virtually unbreakable plastic, and parts disassemble easily for cleaning and are dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

The description says this fits all Bosch machines starting with model number MUM4, but upon arrival I see that the box states it fits machines with model numbers starting with MUM44. Sure enough it does not fit my Bosch MUM4750 machine. Every description I have found on any site has this error. Perhaps Amazon can get theirs corrected.
 Connection Problems but Found Answer March 15, 2004

I have the Bosch Compact Mixer. I had trouble getting this to connect to the mixer. I called Bosch customer service in CA and discovered how to attach this. You must put the cover on the processor and snap it in place just as if you were going to process food. This moves the plastic tab on the bottom out of the way so it will attach. Works great once you know the secret!

I just bought the food processor attachment last Christmas for my Bosch compact mixer and have had no problems attaching it to the machine and it works great, just like all the attachments for this machine.

I was given this item as a gift. I have a Bosch compact kitchen center that starts with MUM 4, so it should have been just fine. But it didn't fit the machine and it didn't come with the disc holder either. It was quite a disappointment for both me and the giver. Cindi
