Very quik and easy to clean, a must have for a busy mom... December 13, 2009 Arianna Hoffman (Charlotte, NC USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this shortly after my little girl was born 2 years ago.
I wanted to start her on home made food and not food with preservatives. What I loved about this is how easy is to clean the procesor(specialy the blade). With a regular blender it's a chalenge to clean properly the blade and you have to unscrew the hole thing to get to the blade. It's small and you can only make small quantities of food at a time, but its perfect for your baby's first foods(banana's, carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet peas,...etc, and an easy and quick clean comes very handy when you have to clean it 3 to 4 times/day.
It takes a while to get use to it. I noticed someone else had complained about the cap being stuck, you just have to figure out how it works and not put pressure when you try to open. I wish they would design that different, but once you get the feeling of it you will have no problem. I use mine for more than a year every day 3-4 times/day, and after a year the motor stop working. I bought another one after that. I still highly recomend it, just because for that one year it work great and I got my money worth for it.
If you are a busy mom, and you need something easy to clean and use, then buy it with confidence, you will love it. I will also recomend " Jack La Lanne" power juicer for an easy to clean and use juicer.
For someone who buy this to make baby food check this website for recipes. You'll find it very useful as I did:

LOVE this food mill November 23, 2009 luckynumber9 (Clinton, NJ) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I read the reviews on this product before purchasing it, and I have a few things to say about it (and hopefully this will help someone else who might be unsure)
First off, this food mill could not be more easy to use and clean. I make batches of baby food in it with pleasure and it comes apart without any struggle or tricky directions. There's three pieces that fall into place and they are all dishwasher safe, or easy to clean by hand.
Second, there have been many reviews regarding the way this mill is turned 'on' and 'off'. It's so simple, I have a hard time believing anyone could struggle with the use of this easy machine. You simply press the top down to start it, and then take the top off when you feel the food has been pureed to your liking.
Third, for those who have struggled to lock the top in place... You can't force it. You turn it gently until the small circular latches glide into place. If they don't slide in, then it's like trying to force something onto a threaded object. You just try again, or else you'll jam it and then have a real problem on your hands.
This product is super durable, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to pack for on-the-go... I cannot say enough positive thing about this food mill. The best you will get for the price. I highly recommend.
Wonderful September 1, 2009 P. Prater (Anchorage, AK) I used to make babyfood in large batches and found this unit to be way to small. I went out and got a large food processor and that worked for awhile. Now that my baby is 11 months and I'm not pureeing as much as before and find I'm making food in smaller batches I'm very happy that I purchased this food mill (aka food processor). I think it works wonderfully and is very powerful.
a must have..... August 24, 2009 KAC (San Luis Obispo, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just bought this for my second child in hopes that I would make my own baby food. This food mill is awesome and is so easy to use and clean up. I have had no problems blending foods. It works like a charm. Highly recommend this product.
not a mill, a chopper August 23, 2009 M. Jerrie (Syracuse NY) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is not a food mill, it is more like a cheap/clunky version of a mini-cuisinart. It will not puree (especially not smaller amounts) so it has not been useful for baby food... yet. I'll be able to use it when my baby graduates from purees to finely chopped foods. But frankly I'd prefer to have a good mini-cuisinart for that job and Lowe's sells them for less than 40$. So, all told, a waste of money for me, though it may work fine for those who want things chopped.
