This elegantly simple unit provides safe, convenient, and attractive countertop storage for three Cuisinart cutting disks. It's designed to be used as stand-alone storage or to supplement Cuisinart's blade-and-disk holder. The tamper-resistant locking device must be pulled out and twisted 90 degrees to allow access to stored disks, and relock is automatic when the lid is closed. Disks cannot be removed via the open bottom, so when all three storage slots are occupied the cutting edges of each disc are completely protected. High-impact plastic and external surfaces are smooth and curved to facilitate cleaning. --Toni Reineke

Can anyone write a description of how you put the discs in this as each disc has a white plastic tube that seems to interfere? I know I'm terrible with spatial relationships--please help!!!

you don't list what size cuisinart it's for: 7, 11, or 14 inch food processor. Who's going to buy an unknown piece of equipment?

If this holder is bigger, it would been a better design. I would definitely recommend the bigger one that [Amazon.com] has for sell now. When I bought this item, [Amazon.com] only has this one for sell, so I went ahead and bought it. I wish I could return it and buy the bigger one. But I believe I am a little too late though. ...
 Not Compatible with advertised special Cuisinart DLC-5 November 6, 2001

I gave a low rate for the DLC-5 processor, but, only meant to comment on the "deal" that is advertised today (special price when DLC-5 and disc holder are purchased together). These two items are incompatible.I have to return the disc holder and try to find something that will hold them without reverting to a piece of Tupperware.

The Cuisnart Disc holder is a great item which protects the blades, but more important it keeps them locked so that the kids can't easily open it, and possibility hurting them self.
