Product Description The Cuisinart automatic 12-cup coffee maker uses the same brewing system found in commercial coffeemakers so you can be assured of getting a truly satisfying cup of coffee. With its 12-cup capacity, you can bet the other 11 cups are going to be equally tasty. Easy to clean Gold Filter with easy swing-out basket Brew Pause Color - Black with brushed stainless-steel accents
Amazon.com Review Strikingly retro in brushed stainless-steel with black-plastic accents, this 12-cup coffeemaker includes Cuisinart's best brewing technology and premium features for ease and flexibility. The digital clock/timer is programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time and for turning off the warming plate up to four hours in advance. Removing the glass carafe from the warming plate automatically pauses the brewing process for a quick pour, and the warming plate's temperature can be adjusted. For maximum flavor, the machine can be set to brew one to four 5-ounce cups or five to twelve cups, and it includes a charcoal water filter. For convenience, a permanent Gold Tone filter eliminates messy paper filters and an indicator-light shows when decalcification is needed. The coffeemaker measures 14-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep (including carafe handle) and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

TAKE IT FROM A COFFEE ADDICT November 30, 2008 J. BARTHELEMY (FLORIDA) THIS COFFEE BREWER MAKES THE BEST CUP OF COFFEE!!! I GRIND MY JAMAICAN BLUE COFFEE DAILY, SOMETIMES 2X, AND THEN LET THE CUISINART BREWMASTER FINISH MAKING NECTAR OF THE GODS!!! LOVE THE ADJUSTABLE HEAT TOO IT KEEPS YOUR COFFEE JUST THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE.
Excellent Coffeemaker November 30, 2008 Vivian Sumner (Georgia USA) The Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central Coffeemaker is the best coffeemaker I've ever purchased and I've been buying coffee pots for almost 50 years. I just purchased my second Cuisinart Coffeemaker; they last forever and the coffee brewing never slows down. You get a full pot of coffee within 5 minutes. Excellent product!
Makes great coffee but has some issues November 29, 2008 Frank Goodman (Melrose Park, IL) Overall, the coffee maker makes great coffee. There are some inconveniences and short commings with the product. The water fill opening is small compared to previous makers I owned making it difficult to fill without spilling. There are 2 small openings at the top to fill but one uses the charcoal filter "dipstick". Tne other has a stairstepped fill indicator. This is another shortcomming. You have to look from above to see the number of cups of water you are putting in. The less coffee you make the harder it is to see. I would prefer a clear tube with float external to the unit so it would be much easier to see how much water you are putting into the tank.
Good Coffee November 29, 2008 CamaroSS (Hawaii) Brews a very good cup. Easy to use. Only thing that I didn't like was the size of it, very monolithic.
Be warned, very poor warranty November 26, 2008 Sam (Minnesota) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I give this coffee maker a 5 star rating for design, quality of materials, and function. I take away 3 stars for their poor idea of a warranty. This company not only requires that you pay for your own shipping under warranty, they also charge you a "shipping and handling" fee to repair and return. Compared to other high end products, see "Kitchen" for example, this is a really crappy deal. Most cover all shipping charges. I have never seen one from a reputable company that sticks you both ways. This is the last product I will get from these people.
