I bought this maker (so called) for my little 9 year old and what a mistake. The first batch ended up all over the counter and the second one never got hard enough for it to be considered a soft cone. we had a vanilla shake. Tomorrow this is going back to the store, ASAP.. DON'T waste your $$$$ on this product.:(

Decided to give this product a try despite the mixed reviews from various sites. The mixing paddle broke during the first use and the canister gasket did not seal properly which resulted in the liquid ice cream mixture leaking all over the counter and producing a sticky mess that had to be cleaned up. All-in-all this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. We will be returning this item immediately.
