5 out of 5 stars Ice-Cream Heaven   February 6, 2010

I bought this item for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas. The whole family loves it. I no longer have to buy ice-cream from the store. We just make it and freeze it now. It is also a way to stay healthier because you can choose how much sugar and other ingredients you put in it. The only thing is I wish I would have gotten white and not pink because it is quite tall and has to stay on the counter top.

I love this machine! I made sugar free ice cream and it was great! I did leave it in a little longer that I should and it wouldn't dispense, but that was my fault. I plan to use this alot. You can make a batch, then freeze it. I can't wait to try a sorbet recipe.

5 out of 5 stars Very Neat!   October 4, 2009

Beautiful and very functional, this soft serve ice cream maker was a great idea and the way you can pull a lever down to dispense is genius and very enjoyable, especially for kids, I haven't had any problems getting the ice cream to freeze in 15-20 minutes and last night I actually got it to the perfect consistency, just like dairy queen soft serve! So far I have only tried the vanilla with a few little twists of my own and my family loved it. Can't wait to try the other recipes, I'm so glad I invested in this handy appliance!

5 out of 5 stars A great machine!   July 4, 2009

We purchased this machine about a year ago and love it! For parties, we are purchasing a second freezer bowl. Here is our favorite recipe:

Raspberry Frozen Yogurt
Prep time: 20 minutes plus freezing time
Cooking time: 2 minutes

You Will Need
2 envelops unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup Splenda
1 quart vanilla low fat yogurt
1 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen and thawed
2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

What to Do
1. In a saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over milk and let stand until moistened. Heat two minutes.

2. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and whisk in the yogurt. Fold in the raspberries and vanilla extract.

3. Freeze in an ice cream maker.

Cooking Tip: Sprinkle gelatin onto liquid, never the other way round. Always give gelatin a few minutes to swell before heating.

This recipe was adapted ftom this one at Reader's Digest Dessert Recipes:

1 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy this !!!   April 1, 2009

It's a Freeze bowl machine!!! which requires you to freeze the bowl in the freezer for hours and then it barely makes nothing more than sweet cold milk.... Do not buy!!! It's really hard to return the product also...
I don't have a lot of time to figure out the return process. So, I'll just eat the 89 dollars. But you guys save your money!!! I don't know how to give it zero star that's why I gave it a single star.
