Product Description Stylish and utilitarian to boot, the KitchenAid® Custom Metallic Artisan series boasts three high-quality metal finishes, including chrome, brushed nickel and satin copper. This appliance features a styled tilting head and an ergonomically designed handle on the mixing bowl. The powerful 325 watt motor and a larger, 5-quart capacity stainless steel bowl easily handles all your mixing needs. Includes pouring shield, flat beater, 'c' dough hook and wire whip. Carries KitchenAid's hassle-free total replacement warranty as well as a 1-year full warranty. Model KSM152P.
Amazon.com Review KitchenAid's Artisan stand mixer is a substantial piece of equipment: 325 watts of mixing power make child's play of creaming butter, kneading dough, and whipping cream. The kid in you will appreciate how quick and easy it is to mix up a batch of cookie dough. This model comes with three attachments: a flat beater for making batter, meat loaf, and all textures in-between; a wire whip for egg whites, mayonnaise, and more air-infused creations; and a hook for mixing and kneading yeast doughs. All three are solidly constructed and easily secured to the beater shaft with a simple twist. This model also includes a pouring shield for guiding ingredients to their proper destination, and the bowl itself locks tight to the base. Standing about 15 inches high, jutting out a foot, and weighing more than a grown woman's bowling ball, this stand mixer isn't the sort of appliance you'll wipe down and put away. Better to find a square foot of free counter space for easy access; besides, this machine is as pretty as it is rugged--you'll want to show it off. --Betsy Danheim

Happy Camper June 24, 2010 Leslie A. Schliep (lake city, mi. United States) KitchenAid products can't be beat. This standmixer, with an all chrome finish is very easy cleanup, and pleasing to the eye.We purchased this one only because our daughter needed our old one.
This turned me into a cook April 17, 2010 Kristi G., mom of Sage (Rome, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This mixer literally changed my life. I am now a cook.
Before I got my mixer- I won mine in a contest - I was making cakes from box mixes with my hand mixer, and I was buying my pie shells in the freezer section of the grocery store.
Now I feel like there's very little I can't do. Favorites are pizza dough, pound cake, pastry crusts (for quiche and pot pies and Jamaican beef patties...)and every day bread.
I watched all the cooking shows for years, but it just never clicked that they were all using stand mixers because they KNEW something. Oh yeah they do!
When I first got mine, I was afraid of the loss of counter space. Ha! I use it as much as I do my stove and it can have as much counter space as it needs! It comes with a very handy recipe book with all sorts of basic items. It's a keeper.
The KitchenAid website also has a lot of recipes and forums. If I'd known a long time ago, what I know now, I'd have saved pennies if I had to for one of these. They are definitely worth the investment. It is so nice to cook a pie without worrying if I have a pie shell. Now GREAT pastry is just a few minutes away.
So far so good November 21, 2009 Rowena Mcentire Allred (Dugway, UT) I've only had the mixer for a month, but I love it. I plan on having her for a very long time. I have been waiting 14 years to get one and my hubby finally got me this one for my birthday in October. I named her Molly the Mixer. I fell in love with the chrome finish. She was a little more expensive because of her color but totally worth it!! I like this model with the head tilt better then the lift because I have more space to pour in the I ingredients. She's beautiful and matches all the stainless steel appliances. I would recommend her to anyone! Happy mixing.
KitchenAid Mixer Best in the World May 11, 2009 Glen A. Ritter (Shreveport, LA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Recently reviewed the purchase of this mixer in white that I bought for my daughter. I purchased this one for my wife, it is our second one. The first I bought for her 29 years ago. I bought it in white back then. The first one has been used regularly because my wife is a very good cook. We kept waiting for the old one to die, well with KitchenAid, that never happens. So after 32 years of marriage I bought her the Brushed Nickel KSM152PSNK. If you do not have a KitchenAid mixer and you like to cook, you need one. Spend the money and buy one. I know we will get at least 32 years of service from our new one.
Copper Lovers Dream Mixer May 8, 2009 Ginger (La Canada, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Only a true Kitchen Aid mixer fan would buy so many of these. I started out over twenty years ago with a cream one, traded, then got the 5 qt industrial gray and gave it to my sister, then a black 5 qt which my husband gave to a friend because he felt we didn't need two, and my favorite, this one. I also gave a cobalt blue 5 qt to my brother in law although he rarely cooks and often works in Belgium and Japan; and a bright red one for another friend. I sold commercial restaurant equipment for 17 years and their products were essential to our business so I write from more than personal experience.
For my home with cherry cupboards the rich copper mixer earns a place on my counter. This is a hard working and beautiful companion in the kitchen especially if you can't afford the space or price of its larger model. I will be getting the new sweep batter paddle for it next since I already have grinders, juicers and every other attachment.
Just remember these are very heavy and should go on the counter rather than on a shelf or in the garage. Use the paddle for mixing heavy batters and the dough hook for bread. Don't get stuck using just the wire whisk for everything. I keep all the paddles in the bowl.
