Amazon.com Review Banish the office-coffeepot blahs--bring your own. And here's the hefty thermos to liberate you from the grasp of average taste. You can also visit the coffeepot once and remain at your desk for hours, because this 2-1/2-cup mug wakes you up and keeps you buzzed. Coffee not your cup of tea? Well, any hot or cold beverage fits. Lightweight and virtually unbreakable, the 7-inch vacuum-insulated thermos offers two secure grips: an ergonomic handle lined with soft, gray rubber and a band of ridged, soft, black rubber encircling its flared, satin-finish body. Tough, nonslip, black plastic protects the top and bottom, while fine threading ensures the twist top seals tightly. A flick of the thumb opens one of the lid's sip-holes (one for righthanders, the other for lefthanders) and closes them to prevent spills and keep the temperature constant. Its twist-off lid and smooth interior clean with sponge or cloth. Preheating or prechilling with hot or cold water is recommended. --Fred Brack

Leaks and IS breakable October 24, 2003 Carol (Chatsworth, CA United States) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The mug is a great, wide bottom, mug with an easy to hold handle. It keep coffee hot a good three hours or more, better than any I've ever used.... and I've used a lot BUT; after a while it starts to leak, you have to play with putting the top on just right to get it to work. I've stained more shirts because of the faulty seal. And it advertises as being unbreakable... well, I dropped the mug from about 2 feet and the top broke into several pieces. I called the company, and they will SELL me a new top, but not replace it (it's warrantied for 5 years in normal use) I'd think it quite normal to drop a steel mug or knock it off a desk or table, but that's just me. Bottom line, great for keeping coffee hot, but too expensive for the length of time you can use it trouble free.
Absolutely the BEST! September 20, 2003 I know you are wondering, should I spend the money on just a mug that keeps things hot? Well, if you like to drink hot coffee 3 hours after you have poured it, this is the mug for you!In the winter it snows where I live, and I can pour the coffee in there in the morning and still be drinking warm coffee by 10am. It's absolutley fabulous. Sturdy and heavy. Would make a great gift. You cannot turn this upside down, it will leak. But who wants to do that anyway?

I am a Truck Driver, usually driving 300 miles or so per day on route delivery. Lots of stops and starts with lots of bumps and speed breakers. In the approx. year I have owned this I haven't had one spill or leak from it. Coffee is usually good for a few hours 2-3. After that it is still warm but just not what I think of as hot. Cold is even better. If you aren't finished in 2 hours you should be looking for a thermos anyway.
Of all the thermal mugs I've tried, this one is the best May 15, 2003 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love this mug. It works especially well if you 'charge' it with hot water before putting in coffee or tea (or ice water, if you're drinking something cold). The top can be a little tricky at times; if it takes more than a half-turn to close it, you're probably going to dribble down your shirt. My only other complaint/warning is not to put liquid in that's _too_ hot. It seems to mess up the inside - almost like it has been scorched.
Very Nice Mug! January 31, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a nice product. .... The top isn't spill proof, only splash proof but unless you're careless it's just fine. If you pre-heat the mug with hot water before you fill it with your beverage it stays hot a very long time! Yes, if you drop it on concrete the plastic will break but come on...is that the mugs fault? That's why it has a handle! SHEESH! 4 stars because it could have a tighter seal on the drink opening but I'd buy another if I lost this one!
