Amazon.com Review This durable stainless-steel tool peels carrots, waxy cucumbers, potatoes, and peaches deftly and quickly. The peeler's oval handle is channeled to provide a sure grip even when wet, and the hanging loop at the handle's end is cleverly angled so that the 8-inch peeler lies flat against the wall when hung on a peg or a hook. It's also dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

THE BEST! January 7, 2008 Kimberly F. Hoyt I've owned my Pedrini Acciaio & Acciaio Stainless Steel Peeler for eight years and LOVE IT! It has never gotten dull, it is sturdy, feels balanced in the hand while peeling, and is very low maintenance. I just bought two more, one for my daughter who moved into her first apartment, and one for my new daughter-in-law. After going through I don't know how many peelers over the years, it's been a pleasure using the Pedrini. I never used to peel the potatoes when making mashed. Once I got the Pedrini and began peeling the potatoes, my children fussed a bit: "How will we know they're REAL potatoes?" they asked. But soon they liked the new fluffy, peel-less potatoes just as much as we do :-) My sister bought me this and a Kuhn Rikon Safety Lid Lifter Deluxe Can Opener for Christmas shortly before we left for a year in the Africa bush. They are some of my favorite gifts ever!
4.5 STARS December 7, 2006 Maritsa Darmandzhyan (Tujunga, CA) This is a great peeler. It got 4.5 stars because it doesn't have an eye remover. It peels a little thicker then the Rosle peeler and can peel the eye away. It is a great product to have.
It's worth the money December 10, 2002 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
A few years ago I was at an upscale department store, desperately looking for a basic peeler, and all they had was the Pedrini. (It was a slightly different model, with plastic in the handle.) I got it reluctantly but have been absolutely thrilled. I had no idea how quick and easy it could be to peel vegetables and potatoes. Now I use it to put shreds of carrot in my salads because the peeler is faster and easier than cutting the carrot with a knife. Since getting the Pedrini, I have also tried Good Grips and other "fancy" brands but so far I haven't found anything to compare with the Pedrini.
Perfect Peeler! July 12, 2001 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Take it from a "Kitchen Gadget Queen", this peeler is fantastic!! The Pedrini Acciaio Stainless Steel Peeler is the best peeler that I have ever used. When I took it out of the box, I had little faith that it would work, because of the protector that covers the peeler end. Most peelers that have protector's back up with food while you peel, and they end up being useless, but not The Pedrini Acciaio Stainless Steel Peeler. The only thing the protector did was what the engineering design planned on - it protected my digits and knuckles!! Now, I know that [this] is pricey for a peeler, but it is worth every penny.
