Amazon.com Review Plunk this 13-by-10-inch cutting/carving board on a counter, and it stays put while you slice a roast or chop onions. The board doesn't require a damp towel underneath either, because soft Santoprene corner pads prevent it from skidding. Just a half-inch thick and therefore lighter than most cutting boards, it's formed from nontoxic, food-grade polypropylene and won't chip, splinter, or warp. Both sides of the board are identical and feature a groove around the edge to trap juices or liquids when carving. The board is stain-resistant, but if it does become stained, soaking it in bleach for 15 minutes should restore the surface. Though imbued with an agent that inhibits bacteria from penetrating the board itself, the board won't protect users against food-borne bacteria or other germs and must be cleaned like any other kitchen surface. It's dishwasher-safe, but scrubbing with a brush or cleanser is recommended when it needs more than a simple wiping. --Fred Brack

Poor quality - warped December 30, 2004 Michael Bracciante (West Chester, PA) The board was warped when it arrived. I sent it back.

This board has pads to prevent slipping (otherwise you have to use the wet-kitchen-towel-under-block trick and that's a nuisance.)It is polypropylene: you can fit it into many dishwashers for sterilization. You can wash it with dilute bleach to sanitize as well. It doesn't dull the knife. It is thick enough to endure. The only thing that is unattractive about polypro cutting boards is that they stain and they get cuts. So use the bleach or dishwasher to clean them often. Better than wood, believe me.
Excellent product January 20, 2001 Ken Kloubec (West Central Minnesota) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Cutting board does not slip on the counter. Does not dull knifes and is the perfect size for dicing vegtables, meats etc. The groove around the outside prevents the counter tops from getting wet. Excellent item, If you need a cutting board, I would suggest one of these.
