Modern design can be far from sterile, as this stainless-steel sugar and creamer set from Bodum illustrates. Highly polished with a sensuous curve, each piece begs to be picked up and cradled in the hand. Measuring 2-3/4 by 2-3/4 inches, the rotund sugar bowl holds 3/4-cup of sugar, while the 4-inch-high creamer holds 1-1/4 cups of liquid. A press-fit lid for each keeps contents from spilling: the creamer's lid with air hole is shaped to fit over the spout with just enough room to pour without removing, while an opening under the sugar's lid allows the accompanying sugar spoon to protrude. Double-sided with blunt ends, the stainless-steel spoon provides the option of a large or small scoop of sugar. Or, one end can be used to scoop, the other to stir. The double-walled construction means cream stays cooler longer. I love my new French Press. It definitely is worth the price - the stainless steel holds up so much better than any other design I have ever owned. It certainly keeps my coffee warm longer than other models, but not quite as long as some would want.

I ordered this set because it matches my other stainless steel countertop items: salt and pepper shakers, toaster, coffee pot. I also like the magnetic tops on them, as I feel that it keeps the products clean. I use the pitcher for powder creamer, and a spoon fits in the pour spout, while the lid still stays on. I thought it looked small when I got it, but found out it holds as much as my other sugar bowl and creamer. I had looked at many stores to find something like this, without success, and was delighted to find it on Amazon.

This stainless steel sugar and creamer set looks nice and modern and it's a good price for two items. But I was dissapointed that it was not brushed stainless steel since the picture makes it look like it is. It acutally has a shiny mirror finish. If that's what you are looking for, then this is a good quality item.
