Wonderful Lemon Squeezer April 5, 2008 R. Kunda (Las Vegas, NV) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the best gadget ever! No more seeds and it squeezes every bit of juice out of the lemon.
A fast and easy to use juicer February 6, 2008 Glen Guymon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We just moved to California and bought one of these to deal with the great little lemon tree in our backyard. It is wonderful! It's fast and efficient with super easy cleanup (I can't see why you would need to put it in the dishwasher and risk the paint peeling with how easy it is to clean). I would recommend it for light or heavy users without reservation.
You need small lemons... and big, strong hands! January 21, 2008 E. Mills (W. Bloomfield, MI, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This will only juice small to med. sized lemons. Lemons with a larger circumference will overlap the sides when cut in half. It is also pretty tough for me to squeeze without really hurting my hands. The cut side of the lemon goes down and the curved part presses the lemon on the top until it collapses and turns inside out. That takes a lot of force, with the handles a good 5-6 inches apart. I would imagine a lot of women's hands aren't that big or strong. I am currently looking for a better solution, perhaps a stand press with a lever.
It really works! January 13, 2008 E. Davidian (Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I read about this squeezer in Cook's Illustrated magazine. They rarely steer you wrong on product reviews, so I bought 5 as Christmas gifts (and 1 for me). Everyone likes it! It turns the lemon half inside-out and really gets all the juice out. It's much neater than a hand reamer, and the seeds stay in the squeezer.
a great utensil January 8, 2008 V. T. Lake (Lakeland, Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this squeezer because it was highly recommended by Cook's Illustrated [which has reliable opinions]. I have found it to be everything they said and more. No matter how difficult the lemon, it extracts the most juice and leaves the pulp and seeds behind. I have arthritis in my hands but find this squeezer easy and comfortable to use. My juice extractor of choice was a reamer, but now I go for the Amco Squeezer instead. I also have the lime squeezer which is even more useful because limes are often dry and hard.
