breville Juicer800jexl March 10, 2010 Olen Gardner (Riner, Virginia USA) This is a wonderful product. We are enjoying the juice everyday. it is very easy to clean and the juice is extracted in a few minutes. Very efficient. Would recommend this product. It is very easy to use also.
Powerful, well built machine March 5, 2010 M. Thompson (Orange County) I wont go into detail, as there are hundreds of great reviews for this product. It is well built, and well made. It is kind of loud (due to the rotational speed), but that helps to extract the maximum amount of juice.
The one caveat I have is I tried to juice some parsley, leafy greens, and the speed [even on low] causes the greens to just zip right into the bucket without being juiced. Now, I have not tried to juice those types of things on other juicers, so I cannot compare it against anything. Jay Kordich's book has many leafy greens/parsley in his recipes I have not deduced how to juice them with this machine.
My grocery basket overflows with fruits and veggies! March 3, 2010 L. Lundahl (Seattle, WA USA) Since buying the juicer in January 2010 (two months ago), I have used it just about every weekend I have been in town, and a few times during the week as well. I also make juice for the week while I have it out on Saturday or Sunday morning, and put it in an airtight carafe for use throughout the week. Once I started doing that, I was enjoying the benefits of juice almost every day.
One of the advantages of such a powerful juicer and wide feeder shute is that you don't have to chop much, or prep food extensively before making juice. So the whole process becomes faster, especially when you are making large amounts of juice.
The book it comes with is kind of cool- gives recipes that utilize the pulp. That is really cool.
If you like pulp in your citrus juice, make sure to add some pulp back in from the pulp bucket.
Also, the pulp makes for ideal composting material.
The only "con" I have it that it is time consuming (easy, but time consuming) to clean, but if you have the time - or if you do what I described above and make a large batch of juice at once, it's not such a problem.
Breville is a high quality manufacturer. I hope to have more products from this company in my kitchen as time goes on.
a joy to use February 28, 2010 Nathan Veglio For health reasons, I wanted to get into juicing. After reading reviews and seeing the reasonable price, I purchased it, but didn't have high expectations. The other juicers I looked at were too complicated to use or too expensive. Within 15 minutes of unpacking this, I had my first batch of juice and within 15 minutes after that, everything was clean and I was ready to go again. The benefits of this juicer are that it isn't too loud, it's easy to clean, and you get a lot of juice. I love it!
I love it! February 28, 2010 Harmony (Talent, OR USA) This product is the one all the other ones are modeled after. The difference is the other ones are cheaply made and this one is not. I bought Jack Lalane's nightmare of a juicer with only 250 watts. I bought Juiceman Juicer because I had one for 10 years, but that was before they sold to Sulton. I didn't want to spend $279.00 for a juicer, but I'm telling you as an avid juicer with a Vita Mix that this beautiful, heavy stainless steel juicer is worth it. If you follow the instructions, take care of it and don't jam it with the things that the cheap ones say you can put in it (that you really can"t) just to sell them, it will last a long, long time. I use it 2-4 times a week.
