I scream for ice cream! January 9, 2008 Victoria Reinkoester 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was a gift for my children. They were VERY pleased to receive the ice cream maker and the Ben and Jerry's recipe book! They couldn't wait to use them!!!And,we are anxious to have some ice cream as well!
I LOVE this attachment!!!!!!! May 23, 2007 K. Edwards (Crescent City, CA, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The ease of use made my first batch of ice cream a joy! The ice cream was done in less time then stated it would take. I love soft serve and it took a lot of will power to wait the recommended 4 hours to "ripen", in fact I just had to taste it before the time....YUMMY!!!!!!!!!! I have wanted this attachment for a long time, but, I could not justify getting this attachment until my old salt and ice ice cream maker bit the dust. Yeah!! My recommendation is buy this product, follow directions and you'll have a better ice cream then you expect it to be!!!! P.S. if you buy the Ben and Jerry's booklet on ice cream you'll have the best of both worlds.

We received the KitchenAid Ice Cream Freezer Attachment for Christmas. Placed it in the freezer and kind of forgot about it. When we finally used it, it was wonderful, and we have continued to use it every day since. We use 1% milk, add a favoite fruit, a little Splenda, and a little Davinci sugar-free syrup. Makes a delicious low fat, tasty dessert. One suggestion...be sure to START THE PADDLE BEFORE adding the mixture. If you don't, it will freeze to the bowl and you will have a heck of a time getting it started.
