5 out of 5 stars Best Masticator there is   March 1, 2008

This is the best masticating juicer on the market. If you want your juice at blinding speeds, this juicer isn't for you. If you want your juice the healthiest, (which is the whole point of juicing in the first place) than this is the one you want. I hear people saying it juices too slow. If you dont have enough patience to chop up some fruits and veggies, feed them into the juicer, and wait a few minutes for your juice, then you have alot more to deal with than just juicing. The best things about this juicer is its a multi-tasker, and it chews the food, releasing the enzymes and minerals as they would be if you were chewing the items with your own teeth. Also, it gives plenty of juice, imo. 6 carrots, and one regular sized naval orange, will yield a good sized glass of juice. Maybe 14 ounces. Im not sure why anyone would complain about that. This juicer is very well made, and is heavy enough to warrant its own flip up carrying handle, on top. Its probably 15lbs. Its a great tool to have in your kitchen, and Ive had mine for about a year now. Love it.

We have had the older version of this same juicer for about 4 years now it is a very good juicer. We had a spinning basket type but they ware out and need replacement parts. This is also very easy to clean. The pulp comes out very dry. We juice apples and carrots mostly. This one looks the same as the older model. The cheap ones with spinning baskets don't last.

This juicer gives you nearly no juice compared to all the pulp you get. The pulp makes a mess when it comes out. The food chute is really small and you have to push a bit hard to get the juicer to take the food. I had to pay to ship it to OpenChute for store credit. I hope the L'Equip 221 is much better than this one!
