Product Description
With the ability to juice an 8-ounce glass of juice in five seconds, this 850-watt professional juice extractor features a powerful computer-controlled 14,000 rpm motor, which easily maintains the selected speed when juicing under heavy loads. Its Italian stainless-steel, micro-mesh filter separates the juice from the fiber and seeds of the fruit and vegetables so that maximum juice is extracted. To cut out all preparation time required for juicing, the unit's unique, extra-wide, centrifugal feed chute allows for whole fruits and vegetables to be added without the need for chopping them into pieces first. The juicer's two-speed electronic control offers low speed for juicing soft fruits and vegetables and high speed for more textured fruits and vegetables. For quick, easy clean up, all the juicer's parts are dishwasher safe except for the motor, and for added convenience, a disposable plastic bag can be used to line the large pulp container and then thrown away when finished. A 1-liter juice jug with a froth separator and a large-capacity, 2-1/2-liter, easy-to-clean, removable pulp container are included. This is a factory-reconditioned juicer which includes a 90-day manufacturer's warranty. Always make sure the Juice Fountain is properly and completely assembled before operating. As a safety mechanism, the unit will not turn On unless properly assembled. Always turn the Juice Fountain On to the low or high setting before adding any vegetables or fruits with the food pusher. The motor of the machine must be completely running to ensure proper and full use.

5 out of 5 stars best juicer ever!   March 12, 2010
Alfonso Batista (Cherry Hill NJ)
the juicer has worked flowlessly since day one. its used daily and enjoyed. minor complaints when you do hard vegies or fruits you need to cut smaller bits. The delivery was fast and the condition as refurbished was as new, I could not tell the difference from a new one.

5 out of 5 stars Great solid, well-manufactured juicer for the money   February 19, 2010
A. Martin (Traverse City, Michigan)
Although I do have a lot of kitchen appliances I use on a regular basis I don't have a lot of experience with juicers so I wasn't sure what to expect. I looked into the Jack Lalanne juicers and thanks to Amazon's incredibly helpful review system, found that they are not all that well reviewed. This juice had the review profile I was looking for, high on the top tapering to low on the bottom.

My refurbished juicer came well-packaged and if it was ever used I would not have known it. It was completely clean. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the parts. The juicer just feels solid unlike other cheaply made appliances out there. There are some great design features I appreciate like a plug with a built-in finger hold for pulling it out of the socket, a juice collection container with a lid that keeps juice from splattering and a removable piece that keeps the foam out of your poured glass of juice. All of it is easy to clean. I haven't timed myself but I'm guessing it takes less than two minutes to clean. The plastic pieces come apart easily and rinse off quickly. The mesh metal screen is the most difficult part to clean but even that only takes a bit of scrubbing with the included brush. The only time I've had a problem with juice leaking is when I don't have the juice container nestled up against the juicer like it should be.

I've juiced apples, citrus, celery, romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, collard greens, carrots, parsley, ginger, beets, pears and probably something I've forgotten right now. I think it does well with all of them. The amount of pulp left over seems amazingly minuscule to the amount of fruits and veggies I put in. Most of the pulp is quit dry with the exception of citrus pulp. The amount of juice seems to correlate with the moisture content in the fruit/veggie: less juice from greens, (although spinach/romaine lettuce do quite well) more from citrus, apples and pears and others somewhere in between. However, I do feel I get adequate juice from the greens because if they are in my juice mix the entire juice is deep green. My recommendation is to mix high moisture and low moisture fruits and veggies for juice anyway. I did have some problems with blueberries and I'm suspecting due to the nature of the centrifugal juicer I always will. Then tend to spin up and out into the pulp chute before they are juiced. There are other small fruits I'd like to juice so I'm trying to figure out a way around that.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this juicer for the price. It was well worth it. I have recently been diagnosed with gastroparesis, (paralysis of the stomach) so have been advised to eat a diet low in fiber,(few raw fruits/veggies and/or whole grains). This juicer has allowed me to get in all of the fruits and veggies I would like to eat and more in a way that my stomach can tolerate. I can juice things that I haven't been able to eat in years and have no problem consuming them. This thing is my new best friend. There are more expensive juicers out there that would probably be even better but like I said, for the price, this one is great. I'm impressed with Breville and when its time to buy another, I'll be looking at them again.

1 out of 5 stars IF ONLY IT WORKS LONGER (3 WEEKs LIFE and ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT)   February 4, 2010
C. Le (Johny)
Yes it died only after almost 3 weeks of rarely usage, just stop working nada. Breville support was so horrendous that leads me to write first review ever in my life.

Here's how to get warranty from Breville:
First has to call/email them, then they instruct you to email them a copy of the purchase receipts (had to scan my), 3 digits on the machine, model number.
Wait for their reply saying that another email will come from FedEx with label that you will send out your broken juicer.
No email come so email them again stating no mail label was sent from FedEx.
They reply again (2nd time) stating again label from FedEx will come within 2 business days.
Still waiting for a label from FedEx, too exhausted to continue.
There's go your almost 100 dollars product goes down the drain.

This juicer is just little better than the Waring Pro juicer that I purchase for half the price, it did give more juice while it works. The main reason I bought was because of the bigger opening, but I still have to cut the mid size apple to fit in. Assembling is little harder as it has 1 more part to put together. Despite it does a good job, it is just not a reliable product. Waring Pro was also purchased refurbished and still going strong.

Will never buy another Breville, I may have a lemon, but their customer support push me away.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the money   February 1, 2010

I purchased this product for my son. He loves it. He tells me it works great, and he uses it several times a day.

5 out of 5 stars Well made and a pleasure to use!!   January 9, 2010
Venetia R. Makshanoff (Parker, CO)
Haven't used a juicer in years and even then I was used to the old Champion juicer which was a bear to clean. The Breville is a joy to use and easy to clean. This is supposed to be a reconditioned unit, but it looked brand new in the box. It is very well made - I marvel at it's design each time I use it. It separates the juice from the pulp easily and without a lot of waste. The pulp is relatively dry, which for a centrifigal juicer is very reasonable. I did a lot of research before making this purchase and I am very happy with it. I would recommend it highly.
