It is as Advertised October 7, 2008 Timothy B. Knight (Cary, NC USA) After checking around for a good replacement coffee grinder, I decided to go with the KitchenAid Pro Line Burr Coffee Grinder. Many of my fellow coffee drinkers are more into espresso coffee vs drip or French roast and don't believe this grinder is up to the task. They could be right but I don't wake to espresso each morning but instead go for a good drip coffee from my Technivorm Moccamaster and found that this grinder is more then up to the challenge. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that it is still a fairly new purchase and I need to make sure the durability is there but presently I am more then satisfied with this grinder.
Perfect Grind September 15, 2008 D. Ratliff This grinder does a wonderfully efficient job, including expresso. The strong motor and general design contribute to an even, uniform grind which is important for a quality brew. Glass bean hopper and bin are easy to clean and avoid "static cling" as can happen with plastic parts. Easily adjustable mill settings for optimum grind. Commercial size burr is larger than in most home grinders.
Annoying Coffee Grinder September 6, 2008 Db (San Jose, CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After owning this grinder for over 2 years I would rate it average. I have to poke at the beans every day to get them to feed and grind. It gets old having to baby-sit a grinder and mess with it. It is a heavy duty unit and works excellent in every other regard.
No Other Grinder Compares August 22, 2008 P. L. Strickler (Bellingham, Wa USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you are looking to have your own espresso set up at home, go all out the first time and you will never look back (or need another). Kitchen Aid has proven themselves once again with simply the best grinder there is! It is worth the extra money and you will be tickled pink. Thank You, Patricia S.
Coffee Mill June 27, 2008 H. K. Sacks (Pittsburgh, PA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Quiet and effective. The only downside is there is no built-in timer. I use a stop watch to grind consistent quantities. The grind is uniform and the glass carafe doesn't build up a static charge.
