Product Description KitchenAid 5-Ply 18/10 Stainless Steel Clad Cookware combines the highest quality materials to deliver an exquisite line of stainless steel cookware that performs beautifully. The line combines gorgeous, highly polished stainless steel with the superior heat conductivity of an aluminum core. KitchenAid 5-Ply uses 18/10 stainless steel on both the exterior and interior. Heat-resistant, silicone handles provide a cool, confident grip. The cookware is oven safe. Handwash with mild dish soap.
Amazon.com Review Make no mistake--this is a very large, heavy pan for those who are serious about their sautéeing. With its 5-quart capacity, you can make veal scaloppine for eight or marinated tuna steaks for six--plus fit a few onions and peppers around the sides. The unique five-ply construction of aluminum, stainless steel, and specially formulated alloys heightens conductivity and ensures even heating throughout the pan. Triple-riveted for long life, the stainless-steel handles remain cool to the touch while cooking. Deep-draw lid seals in heat and minimizes drips and splatters. --Dana Van Nest

Not for ceramic cooktops May 23, 2008 The Analyst (NYC, NY) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Overall this is a great pan if you are cooking with gas. The pan bottom will warp in a few months. It no longer heats fast nor evenly on my ceramic cooktop. The cover is not glass and sinks in, so the food is not visible and the depth is limited. Almost indestructible and very heavy.
