Amazon.com Review
This is one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat-resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scratch or scrape nonstick cooking surfaces. Its 7-1/2-inch handle allows better reach, and the 3-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch blade has a surface that's curved like a spoon for easy scooping and spreading, and the tip is flexible to let you get at the last drop of batter in the bowl. (Whatever you do, don't tell the kids you'll be using it; they might just go on strike.) The KitchenAid logo even doubles as a rest, so you can place the spatula up against the rim of a bowl without it sliding into the goo. The tool is dishwasher-safe for quick cleanup, and a hole in the end provides convenient hanging storage. A donation of 10-percent of the retail selling price will be made for each Cook For The Cure item sold. --Mary Park

5 out of 5 stars Works Well , Great Cause , Teaches Charity   October 26, 2008

My mother is a 15 year survivor of breast cancer. I was attracted to this item for that reason to support other women and their families who are experiencing this life altering event.

I am writing the review because aside from the cause , the item its self works wonderfully , It fits well in my hand , it bends to scrape a bowl with brownies in it perfectly but , is not floppy like some items of a similar type are. The cause is great but the item is worth the purchase aside from the cause.

My children who have a form of Autism have been asking me why I'm buying many pink cooking tools , it has given me the chance to talk to them about the cause , charity and to show them that charity really does start at home.

1 out of 5 stars Cook For The Cure?   August 5, 2008

Having bought EVERY pink item in the last several months. I was dismayed to discover that none of the money was going to CFTC just because I had bought them. Seems that in VERY small print on the hang tag, there is a disclaimer. You have to go online and register the product. Only then will KitchenAid fork over the Money...... Yes for something as small as a set of measuring cups or a knife, you have to register.

Of course I discovered this long after I had thrown away the hang tags. So I went to LOWES and wrote down the UPC from the items they still stocked there. They were out of several items I have and didn't know if they were getting any more. So now I am off to the mall kitchen store. Wish me luck. Oh and SAVE those hang tags.

5 out of 5 stars pretty, pink and practical   June 11, 2008

As with all kitchen aide products, this spatula will hold up to many years of use. And the handle is substantial so it is easy to hang on to. I don't think this one will disintegrate like all my other spatulas seem to.
