Product Description Believe it or not, Pizza in Italy is quite different from what we eat in the USA. Pizza has evolved here to match our varied ecclectic tastes, accommodating the desires of the many and catering to the tastes of the few. A tasty way to get carbs, veggies, cheese (Calcium), and (sometimes) meats, it's a virtual survival food - perhaps the best of the fast foods - a meal itself. Whether you prepare it yourself or have it delivered, this Pizza Wheel from KitchenAid assures that each slice is neatly cut for comfort and enjoyment. So whether its pizza or focaccia, this wheel is ready for you.
Amazon.com Review With a thick stainless-steel blade beveled to a sharp edge, this sturdy wheel-type cutter rolls through pizza, fudge, lasagna, and other foods, dividing them into neat serving portions. The cutter has a finger guard and a stylish, enamel-like handle. It's made of 18/8 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish and is dishwasher-safe. The wheel is 3 inches in diameter; overall, the cutter is 8 inches long. (KitchenAid also makes a larger version of the cutter, with a 4-inch-diameter wheel. This smaller wheel is easier for small-handed cooks and children, but it doesn't cut quite as quickly as the larger model.) KitchenAid says the first year of the cutter's lifetime warranty against defects is "hassle-free," with a replacement shipped at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack

OUCH!!! December 25, 2007 A Texas reviewer 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I found out the hard way that this pizza cutter that it doesn't have anything to protect your fingers above the cutting surface. All the other cutters I have have protection on the top and bottom so I have gotten used to pressing down on the top of the cutter to slice my pizzas. Big mistake with this cutter with an equally big and nasty cut on my thumb. If you decide to buy this pizza wheel be very careful.

If you buy one thing from kitchenaid, this should be it. This thing is absolutely amazing. It fits your hand like a glove and is really manly. Ive had it for a couple months and it hasnt changed a bit. The blade is stainless and will never become dull. But!!!! What is truely amazing, and what makes this one different from all the other disk pizza cutter out there is the way the blade meets the handle. First of all, its not a cheap rivet like all the others. It has a real screw and locking nut that allows you to adjust the wobble/torque so to can have a real solid non wobeling blade! it has two plastic spacers in between the posts that also allow pizza grease to pass between the posts and not get stuck. And!! there is the blade guard that protects you fingers should you decide to go ninja fighting with this tool. The plastic guard is cool for shipping but not very useable. Its a knife! put it in the knife drawer and forget the protector. Oh man and the cuts it makes! Glides through pizza like a plane through a cloud. I absolutely love this tool and I know you will too.
