Product Description So what should you be looking for in a pizza wheel? A sturdy, comfortable handle and a sharp blade that won't corrode. Oh, and wouldn't it be nice if you could hang it for storage, and throw it in the dishwasher to get rid of all that gooey cheese? Well, here you go, all in a stylish package.
Amazon.com Review With a thick, stainless-steel blade beveled to a sharp edge, this heavy, sturdy wheel-type cutter rolls through pizza, fudge, lasagna, and other foods, dividing them into neat serving portions. The cutter has a finger guard and a stylish enamel-like handle. It's made of 18/8 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish and is dishwasher-safe. The wheel is 4 inches in diameter for quick work. Overall, the cutter measures 9 inches long. KitchenAid says the first year of the cutter's lifetime warranty against defects is hassle-free; the company will ship a replacement at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack

WELL-DESIGNED PIZZA WHEEL: BETTER THAN TERRIFIC!!! November 18, 2008 Nice Lady (Alaska) We got the Red one-not only is it visually very pretty, but it superbly combines form & function. It has a nice size & it is capable of getting the job done in a quick stroke. Go once through the pizza & it is sliced. In the past I've used others & always thought they were a flimsy gimmick. I think now that it is because the diameter was too small, it was lightweight & the blade was not sharp enough. NOW THIS ONE IS PERFECT! It fits the large hand of a man very well . We both thought it was great that it really is not possible to cut yourself if you use it properly & pay attention. (If you look away with a sharp knife you'll be minus a finger, too). Treat it with respect as a blade for it is a great tool. It is perfectly weighted, the hand is placed behind that curved guard (see picture) & it has a really nice feel. Glad we got this one. It deserves its high rating!!
wowsers! September 10, 2008 K. Cowart (Dallas, ga United States) I don't feel the need to review a lot of purchases unless they're terrible or outstanding. This pizza cutter is amazing. It weighs a ton (not a bad thing) and is durable as anything. It cut through a pizza like butter, literally; I didn't even have to press through the pizza. If you're gonna spend ANYTHING, $2 or $20, on a pizza cutter, this one is worth every cent.
Get it! April 12, 2008 Pooky I have many red KitchenAid products...and this is definitely one that I highly recommend (and I can't say that about all of them)! When I pulled it out of the box - SHEESH! It was much larger than I thought, but it works so well, I can't brag about it enough. I am always looking for a new this or new that, but I don't ever have to look for the next great pizza cutter, because I already have one. For starters, it's heavy, and quite sturdy...non of that wimpy stuff. Also, the shape is so simple, but so comfortable when using. I love the blade cover; that's probably my favorite part about this. I can throw this in a drawer and not have nightmares about someone accidentally finding it with their fingers. I've had this many years now, and it still works flawlessly. Buy it while you still can.
quality built but missing top blade guard October 11, 2007 StevieQ (Castro Valley, CA United States) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I preface this review by stating that is is a very high quality pizza cutter. The blade is very sharp and it's built like a truck. Now comes the bad part about this cutter: it's missing a blade guard at the top. A fraction of a second of inattention using the wrong grip is all it takes to give you a nasty cut. How do I know? I'm speaking from experience. Another way someone can get hurt is if the user pushes hard while cutting and he has a wet or greasy hand and the thumb slips forward onto the sharp rotating blade. Or maybe the user wants to put some weight on it, and again, a moment of inattention forces him to put his other hand on the top of the wheel. Without the top blade guard, accident is bound to happen. It's a shame that such a quality cutter has such a major design flaw in safety. For this reason I'm giving it one star.
Better than a knife! September 26, 2007 J. Neiswonger (California) I love this pizza wheel. I use it more than I use my kitchen knives. I cut pizzas (of course) sandwiches and salad, and anything else my kids need sliced up. If you are a mom and you don't like the small things like slicing off the crust on bread try this. It saves me so much time and I just throw it in the dishwasher.
