These measuring cups are made out of high impact resistant ABS plastic, able to withstand the abuse most kitchens can dish out. The handy leveler helps you get an accurate measurement with ingredients such as powdered sugar and flour.

Blessed with easy-to-read markings, the four measuring cups in this set make any cook's work easier. They're held together by a removable leveler that makes it possible to quickly measure dry ingredients precisely and prevents the cups from scattering in a drawer. Made of thick plastic and dishwasher-safe, the cups measure 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, and 1 cup. (The cups are also calibrated in milliliters.) Their handles are slightly curved, making it easier to obtain level measurements in the proper wrist position. Convenient leveler / storage gadget (though I do not see how it is a scraper?!)
Overall, this is a very useful, worthwhile purchase, despite being a bit overpriced for the number of measuring cups you get with this set.
(Update 4/18/07) - 3 1/2 years later and I still use these almost everyday! I just wanted to add two things:
1.) I never use the leveler
2.) If you use particularly scratchy sponges to scrub your dishes, you might find that the labels eventually get worn down on these. They do go in the dishwasher, by the way... but *I* don't have the time to do that, because I use mine way too often!
