Amazon.com Review This compact refrigerator is the perfect size for use in a dorm room or as a second fridge in a basement TV room. It stands 25-1/4 inches tall and is 18-5/8 inches wide and 19-5/8 inches deep, offering just over 2-1/2 cubic feet of cold storage space. Two slide-out shelves plus a bottom shelf in the main compartment and two door shelves offer ample room for drinks and snacks. A can dispenser in the door offers additional space for soda or beer, and a freezer compartment across the top of the refrigerator holds ice cubes in the included tray. The full-range thermostat operates via a dial control, making it easy to adjust the temperature to your preference. This refrigerator has a reversible, rounded door and a smooth back. Two leveling legs ensure that the refrigerator is stable even when resting on a slightly sloped floor. Sanyo covers this refrigerator with a one-year warranty on parts and labor. --Cristina Vaamonde

Good Mini-Refrigerator, But Better Packaging Needed May 9, 2008 Ray (Bay Area, CA) This is a solid mini-refrigerator that I bought to replace an old and worn out mini-fridge I had. It has a quiet operation and comes with good documentation. It should require about $24-27/year in energy costs. As part of testing the fridge, I put the cold setting to MAX, which allowed the small freezer within the unit to create ice cubes within about 30 minutes. I am giving a 4 rather than 5 star score only because, like many other reviewer's here, the item arrived from shipment with a few dings. It is rather frustrating to spend nearly $200 on an new item and have it arrive in less than perfect condition. SANYO needs to do a better job with packaging these units. If you can look past the sub-par packaging, this is a very solid mini-fridge.
Do a better job of packaging!!! November 29, 2007 Jerry C. Huson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Product itself works great. Exactly what I wanted. 4 1/2 stars for that...however, I got it with about 3 or 4 different HUGE dents. I would have returned it, but didnt want to bother going thru that whole return process. Sad thing is most reviews I read mentioned the same thing. Thought I would be the lucky one...Sanyo needs to be informed to rectify this situation. The 2 stars is for the packaging.
Good little fridge October 29, 2007 Jeffrey Harvey (San Jose, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought one of these based on the positive reviews seen here. So far I'm happy with it. It keeps my soda cold and is very quiet for my under-desk-at-work location. I saw this same mini-fridge at my local Fry's Electronics for $139, however. So check your local outlets. You may be able to get a better price. J.
Works great! September 13, 2007 Happy to have found Centennial on DVD (PA) This little refrigerator has a surprisingly large capacity. It chills really well. You have to be careful with the temperature setting, you can actually freeze the contents of the refrigerator if you set the temperature lower than half way.
GREAT LITTLE WORKHORSE...YEH, PACKAGING NEEDS IMPROVEMENT August 13, 2007 Mona Lisa (Marietta, Ga) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I went ahead and ordered this inspite of the packaging complaints and thought I'd take my chances since I have had bad luck with small refrigerators and this one had good reviews. I'm a "Prime" member and did the next day thing for $1.99....incredible. By the way, becoming a "Prime" member is worth every penny and I do a lot of shopping on Amazon. Love Amazon!! The box that it came one was rather flimsy. It sat on a maybe 3 inch block of styrofoam (HOLLOW IN THE CENTER) that was under just the outer body of the fridge (NOTHING ON THE REST OF THE BOTTOM BUT BOX AND AIR IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT) The styrofoam held the sides of the fridge about 2 inches away from the sides of the box. There was NOTHING to protect the sides...and just an "air space" between the outer box and the fridge itself. The top then had another NARROW FLIMSY piece of styrofoam in the shape of a picture frame (which had broken) that sat on the top edges supposedly to keep the fridge away from the sides of the box. Believe me you can get it out of the box in seconds because there's barely any packing materieals! LOL...It's one of those, "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" things. It's a MIRACLE, but it arrived with no damage other than a tiny tiny ding on the very back of the unit. Who cares! I'm so glad because it is such a fantastic little fridge. The first night I had it up on the highest cooling temp and it actually froze a glass of water I put in it. I turned it down about half way and the drinks are icy cold and even better than a normal fridge. Love it!! I put upstairs so I don't have to go down stairs half asleep to get a cold drink of water in the middle of the night. I also put my face care products in it because it gets hot upstairs and heat isn't good for them. BUT...WHAT'S UP WITH THE PACKAGING, SANYO??...SURELY YOU CAN FIGURE THAT ONE OUT!! DUHHHHH
