Good basic microwave March 11, 2008 G. Baker (NC) This microwave was purchased as a gift for an elderly lady with low vision. It's simple dial settings and ease of use made it an excellent choice. It was delivered promptly, arrived in good condition and works well.
microwave January 9, 2007 Susan K. Wilson (Hudson MI) got for legally blind mother so she could have one she could operate easily
Better call your grandmother everyday May 15, 2006 L. Bennett (Tampa, FL) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
We had this crappy microwave less than a month before it BLEW UP!! Great deal, but like they say, you get what you pay for. . . You may want to check up on your grandmother occasionally to make sure that piece of s*** didn't burn her house down! Which is a real possibility with those things.
This item was a gift. March 15, 2006 Marci Juett 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
As far as I've been told, it's working fine. I bought it for my mother, who is 80 years old, has arthritis and can only operate a dial controlled microwave.
Good microwave, but list price WAY too high June 24, 2005 Bene Breadstick (In A Place That I Can't Imagine) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
So far, I have owned two Haier 700-Watt microwaves and I have not had a problem with either of them. The timer is indeed accurate and the microwave has a spinner so the food heats evenly. Sometimes, bigger items won't heat quite as well, but at 700-watts, you can't expect a lot. They both heat as advertised (700 watts) and for the $$ you get what you pay for...maybe. Yes, maybe. I'm concerned if you're thinking about buying this that you probably haven't shopped around at all. Not only did I find this at Wal-Mart for a third of the list price, but I found a GE 700-Watt microwave with a digital timer that was even CHEAPER of the list price. I don't know why Haier wants you to pay this much for an analog 700-watt microwave, but at the list price, I've even found some low-end 1000-watt microwaves. Shop around a bit for microwaves, there are a lot of deals on them these days. If you can't still seem to find a better deal than this, and end up back here, I guess you can go for it. But, I'd really recommended you shop around.
