Product Description Has your old microwave become more trouble than it's worth? The Cuisinart CMW-100 will show you why microwaves are no longer just for warming up leftovers. A stainless steel interior and 25 pre-programmed settings make the this an incredibly versatile mocrowave oven. The nonporous interior makes cleanup a cinch, and prevents odors from one food leeching into others. With the 12-inch rotating glass tray, your food is evenly cooked, so the only reason to keep an eye on your food is for entertainment purposes. The optional two-stage cooking operation allows the microwave to be set so that first stage of operation (such as 15 minutes on defrost) is automatically followed by a second stage (such as cooking for 8 minutes). With eight preset menu options and an individual serving-size menu for each, you just might need to find other uses for your stove-top oven. Nonporous interior will not absorb odors, moisture or food particles Easy to clean 12 rotating glass tray included Touchpad controls with LCD Two convenient defrost functions to defrost food by weight or time Eight preset menu options, with individual serving-size menu for each (total 25) Two-stage cooking operation Instructions and Recipe book included

Nice looking but disappointing March 22, 2008 R. Bonomelli (New York, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Like the other reviewers, I agree that this looks nice. There are 2 problems that I found however. One, you can't use the microwave to cook and use the timer simultaneously. This has been an inconvenience on more than one occasion. The other problem is that if the microwave is on a slick counter surface, the force of pulling the door makes the microwave slide off the surface. Annoying.
Cusinart CMW-100 November 29, 2007 James L. Jones III 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The microwave was a bit larger than I wanted for my counter space so measure exactly the size you want or need. Although I have not used it much, the microwave like all other Cusinart products is beautifully designed with high quality materials.
Shiny microwave---inside and out! August 10, 2007 Frankland S. Strickland (Memphis, Tennessee) 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
First, let me address the concerns some reviewers seem to have had with their units. One thing I've noticed is that each and every one was ordered over the internet and, thus, had to be shipped. I think the problem may have been with the delivery service manhandling the package. As it is, this Cuisinart microwave can be had at several specialty retailers (especially those specializing in kitchen and other housewares), so an internet purchase is not always mandantory. As far as performance is concerned, mine performs as well as any other microwave I've had in the last 15 or so years. Honestly, most microwaves perform roughly on par with others in their respective wattage range. That wasn't always the case, but has become more or less true lately. Oh sure, there are still duds out there, but most are on equal footing with their competitors. So . . . what exactly sets this microwave apart? In a nutshell, the inside!!! This one has a stainless steel interior! Now that's what I'm talking about! Have you ever had spaghetti or chile or soup "pop" all over the inside of your microwave? If so, then you'll no doubt sympathize with my agony of cleaning dried gunk. Well, thanks to the stainless steel interior this is now a cinch. Have you ever burned popcorn in your microwave? If so, then you'll likely remember that it is impossible to remove all of the brown smoke stains on the inside---and let's not even talk about the smell! Thanks to a stainless steel interior neither smoke stains nor lingering odor will ever be an issue. As far as the exterior, it comes in an easy-to-clean, trendy stainless steel. Honestly, I'd have bought it if it were available only in black or white---it's the stainless steel interior that I'm after. Today though, stainless steel appliances are in vogue. I'm sure it will pass---remember the black of the 90s, the almond of the 80s, or the avocado green or coppertone (brown) of the 70s? Still, I must say it certainly looks sharp perched up on my countertop (which, by the way, is an out-of-fashion butcher block laminate). If there's any significant drawback to this unit, it will likely come from the door handle. I've had no problems yet, but it is not a stainless steel handle (it actually LOOKS like chrome). No, the shiny door handle is a heavy plastic. We all know what eventually becomes of plastic parts. I just hope the "chrome" doesn't wear off too soon to reveal the ugly yellow resin beneath.
Fabulous looking and works beautifully! June 28, 2007 K. Telecky (Dallas, TX) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I just received my Cuisinart microwave yesterday. It arrived in perfect condition, so I didn't have any of the problems another reviewer had. First of all, let me give the exterior measurements since this was a problem for some of the reviewers and gave me pause when I was considering purchasing it: It measures 20 1/4 inches across the front; it stands 12 3/4 inches high; it is 14 3/4 inches deep (it actually takes slightly less space than my previous 1 cubic foot microwave). It is absolutely gorgeous and the shiney stainless steel interior gives me a thrill every time I use it. As with any new appliance, it took some getting used to the new features, but the express buttons that allow one to cook one minute, two minutes, etc, at the push of one button are very useful. One can also push the +30 sec button for an easy half minute use. To cook for 50 sec or 35 sec or some other individualized setting, one must just push the power button once before pushing the number of seconds you want - not at all difficult, but different from my old one. I don't find it noisey as one reviewer did - it is a bit quieter than my previous one. I am quite pleased and, as I said before, I can't hold back a "wow" every time I open the door and see that gorgeous interior! The front is brushed stainless steel and black glass with a shiney chrome handle (great looking). The sides and top appear to be a brushed stainless "look" metal.
Measurements on website are incorrect April 11, 2007 M. Cross 6 out of 11 found this review helpful
I ordered this product based on the measurements Amazon listed because I have a tight space in my kitchen. The measurements are several inches off on each dimension. I can only imagine that perhaps the measurements provided are INTERIOR measurements not exterior; since it was not specified I just ASSUMED they were exterior. Very disappointed. I cannot speak to how well the product works since I returned it.
