Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
With Panasonic Inverter Microwave Ovens, you'll have well-tempered power to cook with ease, speed, and quality. Inverter technology takes advantage of multiple power levels, and maintains the best colour, shape, texture, and flavors of your food. Thanks to evenly distributed levels of microwave energy, foods will no longer undercook in the center and have hard, overcooked edges. Panasonic has perfected their Inverter Turbo Defrost process, which allows you to defrost foods even faster. Inverter Turbo Defrost technology is an advanced microwave process using the Inverter low-power delivery feature. It distributes microwave energy with the most appropriate combination of regularity and irregularity. Panasonic One Year Warranty

1 out of 5 stars Great until it stopped working after 2 months!   May 6, 2008
A. Reece (Dallas, TX)
Obviously Panasonic has problems with the model since I have read several similar reviews here and on other sites. The microwave worked fine for 2 months and without warning it stopped and gave me the H98 code. My only option is to take it to a repair shop 20+ miles from my house and go without until it is repaired. I think my best bet is to cut my losses buy a more reliable brand.

5 out of 5 stars The best microwave   April 20, 2008
Halley (Memphis)
I've had the microwave for over a month, and no problems. The sensor reheat and defrost work as advertised, and it is amazingly fast. One and a half minutes will heat up any plate of food. All in all, great buy, and every microwave I saw had some negative reviews about breakage, so don't be overly concerned about it.

5 out of 5 stars Best microwave owned thus far.   April 18, 2008

I read about this microwave initially in Consumer and they ranked it very high. It cooks the food evenly, and is VERY easy to use. It's also stylish. My wife and I are very pleased with it, and would recommend it to friends and family.

5 out of 5 stars Takes microwaving to a higher level   April 14, 2008

I'm so pleased with this microwave. It looks as nice as it cooks, too.

However, I was disappointed to read that some reviewers had mechanical failures. My last microwave lasted over ten years.

Like the other negative reviews have stated, this is a fantastic microwave oven for between 2 and 6 months,
then it dies. Not only is Panasonic no help, but not one repair shop I've contacted wants anything to do with the Panasonic inverter ovens. Class action, anyone?
